Echo & The Bunnymen - Silver. Top Of The Pops 1984

Nice quality video recorded live in the studio from Top Of The Pops 1984. Echo & the Bunnymen are an English post-punk group, formed in Liverpool in 1978. Their original lineup consisted of vocalist Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant and bass player Les Pattinson, supplemented by a drum machine. By 1980, Pete de Freitas had joined as the band's drummer, and their debut album, Crocodiles, met with critical acclaim and made the UK Top 20. Their second album, Heaven Up Here (1981), again found favour with the critics and reached number 10 in the UK Album chart. The band's cult status was followed by mainstream success in the mid-1980s, as they scored a UK Top 10 hit with "The Cutter", and the attendant album, Porcupine (1983), reached number 2 in the UK. Their next release, Ocean Rain (1984), continued the band's UK chart success, and has since been regarded as their landmark release, spawning the hit singles "The Killing Moon", "Silver" and "Seven Seas". One more studio album, Echo & the Bunnymen (1987), was released before McCulloch left the band to pursue a solo career in 1988. The following year, de Freitas was killed in a motorcycle accident, and the band re-emerged with a new line-up. Original members Will Sergeant and Les Pattinson were joined by Noel Burke as lead singer, Damon Reece on drums and Jake Brockman on keyboards. This new incarnation of the band released Reverberation in 1990, but the disappointing critical and commercial reaction it received <b>...</b>

Echo And The Bunnymen - The Cutter

...the bunnymen are long time favorites.... Echo & the Bunnymen are an English post-punk group, formed in Liverpool in 1978. The Cutter Who's on the seventh floor Brewing alternatives What's in the bottom drawer Waiting for things to give Spare us the cutter Spare us the cutter Couldn't cut the mustard Conquering myself Until i see another hurdle approaching Say we can, say we will Not just another drop in the ocean Come to the free for all With seven tapered knives Some of them six feet tall We will escape our lives Spare us the cutter Spare us the cutter Couldn't cut the mustard Conquering myself Until i see another hurdle approaching Say we can, say we will Not just another drop in the ocean Am i the happy loss Will i still recoil When the skin is lost Am i the worthy cross Will i still be soiled When the dirt is off Conquering myself Until i see another hurdle approaching Say we can, say we will Not just another drop in the ocean Ocean Watch the fingers close When the hands are cold Am i the happy loss Will i still recoil When the skin is lost Am i the worthy cross Will i still be soiled When the dirt is off Am i the happy loss Will i still be soiled When the dirt is off

Echo & the Bunnymen - Flowers

I couldn't find this song anywhere online (other than a live version) so I decided to upload it myself for everybody to enjoy. You can thank me later :) ---------------------------- I've been laying down the flowers I've been waiting in the sun I've been counting down the hours One by one One by one I've been catching my reflection I'm still looking at someone Still perfecting imperfection Like everyone Every no one I even saw it come Knew the hit would run and run And i, as it came undone Knew that I'd lost everything Everything I'd won Here's to all the things we'll never Here's to all we could have done Here's to what became whatever Whatever web we spun, web we spun I even saw it come Knew the hit would run and run And i, as it came undone Knew that I'd lost everything Everything I'd won I've been laying down the flowers I've been waiting in the sun I've been counting down the hours One by one One by one I even saw it come Knew the hit would run and run And i, as it came undone Knew that I'd lost everything Everything I'd won [from lyrics.doheth.co.uk] ---------------------------- I obviously don't own this song so the credit goes to the individuals who hold to copyright to it.
