This is what a safe, environment-friendly and highly practical single track vehicle for city traffic could look like in the future. BMW Motorrad developed the C1-E study as a contribution to the European safety project eSUM. This study unit is based on the concept of the BMW C1. It is characterized by a very high level of active and passive safety and is driven by an electric motor. The BMW C1-E provides exemplary protection for its rider. This is ensured by the safety cell with the conspicuous roll-over bar which dynamically spans the rider seat in combination with the energy-absorbing impact element at the nose end. A further special point is that the C1-E rider wears a seat-belt. In the study this safety feature is highlighted by red belts and belt buckles. Visually the concept vehicle expresses brand typical sheer driving pleasure and clearly distinguishes itself from typical scooter looks. The italian MBT Ariete during the test in Oto-melara's complex . The original Ariete was designed, constructed, and tested by the IVECO FIAT - Oto Melara Syndicated Company, headquartered in Rome. This company is a business merger consisting of two separate defense contractors: IVECO's Defence Vehicles Division, responsible for the development of the chassis and support systems, and Oto Melara, responsible for the turret and fire-control system development. The Ariete is currently in service with the Italian Army. It began with the first tank's delivery in 1995. The final delivery completed 7 years later in August 2002. An upgraded version, with modular armor, auto-loader and 55-calibre gun, was displayed in 2005 and ready for production. Armament typical of the modern day main battle tank, the Ariete can engage targets in a variety of conditions. It can engage stationary or moving targets; it can attack opponents whether or not the Ariete is on-the-move; finally, it can engage targets day or night with the factory-installed thermal imager and laser rangefinder. The standard load-out consists of three primary weapons systems: A 120 mm main gun, A 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun (manned by a crew member), and A 7.62 mm anti-aircraft (manned by the tank commander). Riff Stapler Blues - Nord C1 Hammond B-3 Clonewheel Organ Clavia
Here is my composition Riff Stapler Blues. I've written down a few notes regarding the composition of this uptempo jazz blues. Intro: An eight bar walking bass line with grace notes and a rhythm of percussive right hand 'thumps' on the lower manual. Chorus 1 and 2: The four bar main riff, the base, that got me started building up the song. The same four bar phrase is repeated over the tonic, subdominant and dominant, except during the fast short 'machine gun' tremolo at the end of the chorus. Chorus 3: Melody line chorus with a 'Chuck Berry'-rhythm at the end. Chorus 4: Jimmy McGriff-inspired four bar phrase repeated three times. Chorus 5: Chord triplet rhythm using the Hammond organ trick of 'sliding' the same chord from the upper to the lower manual. This accentuate the key click sound and the different sounds of the manuals. The lower manual has not the Hammond B-3 Percussion effect. The chorus ends with a C7+9 chord for tension. Chorus 6: Starts with an emergency services vehicle siren sound :-) I'm holding the C sharp as a pedal tone to avoid activating the Percussion effect. A blues riff in the middle, and ends with quarter note triplets and eight notes triplets. Chorus 7: Palm glisssando upwards and an eight notes triplet phrase downwards. 'Palm staccato glissando' quarter note triplets upwards. Chorus 8: Start with two bars of eight note triplets, and then I play 5/4 against 4/4 for two bars. Next four bars are a short palm glissando followed by a characteristic <b>...</b>
