Well, I figured I might as well do a C64 one as well :) I'm not 100% satisfied with this one though.. it's not as good as the Amiga one. The reason is that I made this one just after finishing the Amiga one and I was a little burnt out I guess.. got very sick of making this one almost right away. It's stilld decent though so I hope some people can enjoy it at least :) The soundtrack consists of these three songs, all by Instant Remedy - Flimbo's Quest Commando Game On (Issue 0989) Complete list of games in this video (might be some errors) - 1. C64anabalt - Official conversion of Canabalt for the C64 (Final)

Project page: www.rgcd.co.uk This video is of Paul Koller's official conversion of Adam Atomic & Danny B's 'Canabalt' running on the 8-Bit, 1Mhz Commodore 64c. I'm running a final-build 16KB cartridge image on the U1541-II, and the game will be available to buy on limited edition C64 cartridge in the new year (we are just waiting for the specifically manufactured dove-grey shells to arrive). The game concept is (of course) by Adam Saltsman. The SID chip rendition of Danny Baranowsky's 'RUN' is by Mikkel Hastrup (encore). C64 code is by Paul Koller (Paulko64). The game was created for RGCD's 16KB C64 Cartridge Game Development Competition 2011. The limitation of 16KB file size meant that there was no room for sound effects, but pretty much every other feature of the original was squeezed in. The open source code was used as a reference when programming this conversion, so the building generation and physics are as close as possible to the original game. If you are interested in grabbing a copy of the game for the C64 emulator of your choice, it is freely available from CSDB (noname.c64.org - featuring a different and original score by Andreas Slotte (Ghormak). The physical cartridge version will be available from RGCD (www.rgcd.co.uk). It would be incredibly helpful if you could leave a comment below regarding which version of the music you think that the cartridge should have.

Big thanks to murrayefc78 for sending me this game. I'm very grateful :) www.youtube.com This isnot a review, walkthrough, playthrough, or demonstration of my playing ability. It's more a case of me speaking my thoughts while playing the games, many for the first time, and most for the first time in a very long time... so it's all a little spontaneous and random. Predictably, as I never practice before recording, I usually play very badly. Ignored by Broderbund, the C64 version was FINALLY fan ported to Commodore's 8-bit machine this week. The Amiga got a proper version back in 1989. Now, finally, you can compare and contrast these two great games.

c64 games sid music compilation

I compiled this music for a CD about a year ago so I could blast my friends with it during our summer gathering at my friends lakeside cabin. I now decided to share it. Most of this music has already been uploaded to YT in separate videos by various users. This compilation mostly focuses on later era c64 game music and doesn't try to be my favorite song list. It's a collection of few tunes I was listening at the time. I thought it would be fun not to write down where the music was taken from so everyone has a chance to guess. If people seem interested I'll add the name of composer and the track at the bottom of this description after each correct guess. For now I'll just leave the track names blank. I was planning to give a thumb up for each correct guess, but it looks like that can't be done in YT. All tracks were recorded from Sidplay and not from a real c64. 00:00 [Track 01] Jeroen Tel (MoN) - Golden Axe (original Main Theme by Makoto Uchida) (1990 Virgin Games) 02:33 [Track 02] Søren Lund - Turrican 3 (Stage 1.2) (2004 Smash Designs) 04:22 [Track 03] Reyn Ouwehand & Anthony Lees - Last Ninja Remix (subtune 3) (System 3) (original Central Park ingame by Matt Gray) 07:22 [Track 04] Søren Lund - Turrican 3 (Stage 2.2) (original Turrican 3 [Amiga] Intro by Chris Huelsbeck) (2004 Smash Designs) 10:20 [Track 05] Jonathan Dunn - Typhoon (Title) (1988 Imagine / Konami) 12:14 [Track 06] Keith Tinman - Midnight Resistance (original Title by Data East House Team) (1990 Ocean <b>...</b>

Archon for the C64 - The best game packaging ever?

Kind of a pickups video, I felt this item needed a video of it's own because I had a lot to say about it. I purchased Archon for the C64 solely because of it's box art and nostalgia, but after having it for a while, I've realized that there aren't many game boxes that come closed to how awesome the artwork and package design are on Archon.

C64 Soldier of Fortune (longplay)

An obscure and challenging game by Graftgold, who brought usParadroid, Uridium, and Rainbow Islands. I'd looked all over the net for any info on this game. Nothing. I discovered that there was a map... but only for the Spectrum version, which has a different layout. So what I did was spend some hours trying to figure out what to do and I mapped it all out. The objective is to collect scrolls with an planetary sign (for example, MOON, PLUTO, NEPTUNE) and trade them with their astrological equivalent (MOON rules CANCER, PLUTO rules SCORPIO, NEPTUNE rules PISCES). This is the arrangement for Village Life, the first level. After you're got the three signs, find the ELEMENTAL, which is like a square stone tablet symbol, and take it back to Central Park, the main location which has levels for the Water, Fire, Air and Earth signs, and repeat this process in each. Perseverance pays off in the end. I'd like to see this completed without using cheats... (See my other video for the "bad" ending) INFO: 1988, Graftgold/Firebird Musician: Steve Turner Title Screen: Paul Docherty (Dokk) Programmer: John Cumming www.lemon64.com Shame that ZZAP!64 didn't like this much. Oracle III (C64) Psytronik Software

Oracle III is a puzzle game released for the C64 by Psytronik Software in 2011. The idea of the game is to combine a minimum of two matching blocks to make them disappear. Once you have moved two matching blocks together they will vanish as soon as you jump onto an adjacent block. Once a level has been cleared of matching blocks you will then proceed to the next more challenging screen. Oracle III features four difficulty modes, with the final 'Professional' mode only being unlocked once you have mastered the game in 'Hard' mode. Each mode features 32 levels, making the whole Oracle III journey consist of a total of 128 levels.
