1981 Honda C70 Passport w/ Lifan 140cc
Firstly I'd like to thank everyone at Honda Clone Yahoo Group and the Honda C70 Yahoo Group: for their expert advice and support, and Beatrice Cycle (DrATV.com for the best parts). Without everyone's support I don't think I would have had the guts to pull the trigger on this and make this bike build possible. This is my 1981 Honda C70 Passport named Pika - Girlfriend and sister thought the color scheme looks like Pikachu and the name has stuck. The 72cc stock engine wasn't enough to keep me out of trouble on these unfriendly streets, so I tried to upgrade to an 88cc big bore engine w/ aftermarket head, and other goodies - that engine epically failed, and won't start anymore. Now I'm running with a Lifan 140cc, Oil Cooled, 4 Speed Manual Clutch engine. It's got 12v electronics, CDI ignition, and a 40mm K&N air filter. The engine itself is in stock form as I've just recently finished the break-in. I don't plan on spending any more money on the bike as I'm a poor college student - really poor now... I've also added an NHRC exhaust (from Partsforscooters.com - www.partsforscooters.com UPDATE: Since this video has been posted, I've gotten a new oil cooler (to remedy the oil leaks and whatnots), a new leg shield, and had the exhaust cut and rewelded to allow usage of the passenger foot pegs, center stand, and not melt my right rear turn signal. I also got a new aftermarket kick start lever, which makes starting SOOO much easier. Now it fires up first kick majority of the time <b>...</b>

Takegawa Honda C70 Passport Update
Honda C70 Passport with Takegawa 5 disk manual super clutch, Kitaco 124SE, OEM Honda 4-speed, Keihin PWK28 carburetor, WirusWin exhaust (punched out). This project is finished. No more upgrades intended, save for the occasional dress up part. Top speed is around 70-75mph depending on wind direction. Leaks no oil and runs very crisp. Only problem I've noticed is that the inner clutch cable has a tendency to fray after about 6-8 months of heavy usage. Easy replacement. For sale???

I got a very old Honda Passport on Craigslist. This was originally pulled from a junk yard as a parts bike by the previous owner. I would like to do a full restore on it but first I gotta get it running so this is a call out to anyone who owns a C70 or knows anything about them to give me tips or direct me to sites and forums that can help.

While the Swedish automaker Volvo is best known for creating safe cars, one thing they have shown with the 2012 Volvo C70 hard top convertible is that the Scandinavians also know how to have fun. The C70 blends the styling of a two door coupe with the experience of an open air sports car aimed at those individuals that are looking for more than mere transportation and expect a certain level of luxury and elegance from their new purchase. The C70 is powered by a 2.5 Liter turbocharged five cylinder engine that produces 227 HP and 236 lb-ft of torque in stock trim and returns an EPA estimated 18 MPG around town and as much as 28 MPG on the highway starting at $40450. However Volvo also offers an Inscription model, starting at $44350, that upgrades not only the Volvo's output but also adds to the look and feel of the luxury drop top. Starting off with a simple ECU retune, the Swedish racers over at Polestar were able to extract a total of 250 HP and 273 lb-ft of torque from the C70 without voiding the warranty or burning any extra MPG. You'll notice I don't have a kickstand yet because the stock kickstand doesn't fit :( ... just using a cylinder block for now... haha. The rattle you hear in the video is the air filter spinning around.... Engine came with a 14T 428 sprocket and I switched it out to a 15T 420 sprocket. Currently breaking it in motoman style. I was rolling up and down hills swiftly. Was cruising faster than 60mph down hill and holding on for dear life. The exhaust is a V8 Speed Source bought from DRATV. www.dratv.com Fits very nice and sounds / performs great, but I would like to make it straighter so that I can utilize the passenger footpeg. Can anyone tell me if the sound the airfilter is making is normal? (the air sucking sound)

our trip to seattle on a pair of 1981 honda c70 passport scooters - motorcycles, my son and I had a good time the weather was a bit misty but thats seattle. we started in Port Orchard Washington and took the seattle Bremerton ferry. The bikes are classic 1981 honda 70 cc passports they are all original and in nice shape, these are not trailer bikes they get used almost every day during the summer and a good bit of the winter. very good durable bikes and have very little carbon footprint with over 100 miles to the gallon . The top speed is rated 55 but 45 mph is where they seem to run the best.
