The natural caesarean: a woman-centred technique

Although much effort has gone into promoting early skin-to-skin contact and parental involvement at vaginal birth, caesarean birth remains entrenched in surgical and resuscitative rituals, which delay parental contact, impair maternal satisfaction and reduce breastfeeding. We describe a 'natural' approach that mimics the situation at vaginal birth by allowing (i) the parents to watch the birth of their child as active participants (ii) slow delivery with physiological autoresuscitation and (iii) the baby to be transferred directly onto the mother's chest for early skin-to-skin. Studies are required into methods of reforming caesarean section, the most common operation worldwide.

A.CAESAREAN SECTION TECHNIQUE (OPENING )( ا part one( الولادة القيصرية).mp4

cesarean section is a surgical procedure in which incisions are made through a woman's abdomen and uterus to deliver her baby.ُThe actual case was delivered byCS for fetal distress, the patient has received anesthesia, the abdomen is washed with an antibacterial solution and a portion of the pubic hair may be shaved. The first incision opens the abdomen. Infrequently, it will be vertical from just below the navel to the top of the pubic bone or, more commonly, it will be a horizontal incision across and above the pubic bone (informally called a "bikini cut"). The second incision opens the uterus. In most cases, a transverse incision is made.Once the uterus is opened, the amniotic sac is ruptured and the baby is delivered. The time from the initial incision to birth is typically five minutes. The umbilical cord is clamped and cut, and the newborn is evaluated. The placenta is removed from the mother, and her uterus and abdomen are stitched closed . the entire surgical procedure may be performed in less than 30 minutes.

Caesarean Section: Making the abdominal incision

This video "Making the abdominal incision" by Prof. Richard Adanu (University of Ghana) and Prof. Cary Engleberg (University of Michigan) is part of a series of videos from University of Ghana College of Health Sciences about Caesarean Section. The complete learning module is available through the African Health OER Network at: www.oerafrica.org A Caesarean section, also known as C-section, is a surgical procedure in which incisions are made through a motherapos;s abdomen (laparotomy) and uterus (hysterotomy) to deliver one or more babies. It is usually performed when a vaginal delivery would put the babyapos;s or motherapos;s life or health at risk, although in recent times it has been also performed upon request for childbirths that could otherwise have been natural. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that the rate of Caesarean sections should not exceed 15% in any country. This programme includes narrated surgical video of the procedure as well as interactive case exercises and a brief self-assessment. Caesarean Deliveries at All-Time High in US

Newly released data by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show an alarming increase in caesarean deliveries in the United States. And a recent global survey by the World Health Organization found that more than one in four women in Asia delivered by cesarean section. It gets a little bit graphic, but sooo worth it--even if you're on the squeamish side. Follows baby so you get to see all the stuff that happens from the second he's born to when mom first holds him.

C-section, Caesarian section, Cesarean section, Caesar, etc.) is a surgical procedure in which one or more incisions are made through the mother dogs abdomen (laparotomy) and uterus (hysterotomy) to deliver her puppies. The first modern Caesarean section was performed by German gynecologist Ferdinand Adolf Kehrer in 1881. A Caesarean section is usually performed when a vaginal delivery would put the mother dog or her puppies lives or health at risk. Most English bulldog litters are born c-section due to the tremendous risk & high mortality rate for both bulldog mother & bulldog puppies during vaginal delivery.
