Originally this guitar was planned to be based on like the 50th anniversary black custom Gibson, but after some thinking we decided to add some custom features based on the new Les Paul Axcess. The custom additions are a cut away on the back of the guitar where the neck joins the body enabling easier access higher up. There is a gut cut for obvious reasons. Also, I may well be adding a Les Paul Schaller wammy bar. The guitar has w/b/w/b/w/b/w edging on the body and the neck is also edged. The fingerboard is ebony and features dot inlays. The headstock also has a walnut veneer and will be decorated with the Wilkes logo.

This is a video of Paul Brady performing The Lakes of Ponchartrain at Birmingham Town Hall on the 20th April 2010. Although performing this acoustically, his band was superb, and the sound was perfect.
