Caspian Airlines Tupolev Tu-154 Plane Crash In Iran
A Caspian Airlines crashed in northwestern Iran minutes after taking off from Tehran on Wednesday July 15th, 2009, killing all 168 people aboard. Caspian Airlines Flight 7908, Tupolev Tu-154 aircraft, was heading from Tehran to the Armenian capital of Yerevan. The Tupolev aircraft crashed 16 minutes after takeoff near the city of Qazvin — located about 120 kilometres northwest of Tehran — at about 11:30 am local time. The airplane was destroyed and the wreckage was ablaze. Footage from the scene on state-run Press TV shows a deep impact crater in an agricultural field, littered with smoking wreckage. It showed a large chunk of a wing, but much of the wreckage appeared to be in small pieces. There were 153 passengers and 15 crew members on board the TU-154M. It is not clear what brought the plane down. It was the third deadly crash of a Tupolev Tu-154 in Iran since 2002. The plane was built in Russia in 1987.

Shocking video: Iran IL-76 plane crash filmed from C-130 Hercules
Previously-unseen video footage has surfaced online, allegedly showing the crash of an Iranian military jet at an air show two years ago. It captures the moment the Ilyushin IL-76MD military plane falls to earth and explodes, after a mid-air collision with F-5E Tiger II. The haunting video was filmed by the crew of a C-130 that was filming the refuelling of an F-4 Phantom II. The planes were taking part in the September 22, 2009 air show and parade just outside Tehran. All seven crewmembers on board the IL-76MD were killed in the crash. Aria Air Flight 1525 Ilyushin IL-62M Plane Crash In Iran Mashhad International Airport
An Aria Airlines Flight 1525, an Ilyushin IL-62M plane skidded off an airport runway during landing and burst into flames in Mashhad International Airport in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on Friday July 24, 2009, killing at least 17 people and injuring about 20. There were 150 passengers on board of Flight 1525 tail number UP-I6208. The plane had flown from Tehran's Mehrabad Airport to Mashhad International Airport. The accident happend at 18:10 Iran Daylight Time (13:40 UTC). All the dead and injured passengers have been evacuated and the fire has been completely controlled. This is the second deadly plane crash in Iran this month. On July 15, a Caspian Airlines passenger plane carrying 168 people crashed in northwestern Iran, killing everyone on board. Plane crashes in Iran, all aboard dead
An Iranian Caspian Airlines passenger plane has crashed in northwest Iran, with all of the 168 people aboard, 153 passengers and 15 crew members, presumed dead, informs Iranian state television.

O acidente ocorreu por volta das 11h33 locais (4h03 de Brasília). A aeronave, de fabricação russa, ia de Teerã para Ierevan, capital da Armênia. Havia a bordo 151 adultos, 2 crianças e 15 tripulantes, segundo Arlen Davudyan, representante da empresa, que é iraniana. A nacionalidade dos passageiros não foi divulgada.
