Celly Cel "Hot Sunny day"
Celly Cel (born Marcellus McCarver) of Vallejo, California is an American rapper and hip hop producer, renowned for his Hardcore 'Gangsta Rap' lyrics. In the early 1990s, he was shot into stardom by fellow rapper, and friend E-40. E-40 lived just around the corner from Celly Cel and had just released his new Click album. He and Celly Cel were already homies and when E-40 and B-Legit went to Celly Cel's house to hear his music it was a "done deal". A few days later Celly Cel was signed to Sick Wid It Records. He released his first album nationwide in 1994. He shot his first video called Hot Sunny Day and got major airplay on BET He released his next album in 1996 which was his biggest selling record. This record featured a song called "Its Goin Down" which became an instant classic. This was his second video that aired on BET and still gets radio play to this day. He released his next album in 1998 called The "G" Filez. This was his last album on Sick Wid It/Jive Records. He and Sick Wid It/Jive Records parted on good terms. Celly Cel just felt like it was time to start his own record label. He started his independent company and decided to call it Realside Records because thats where it all began. He released his first album under the label called Deep Conversation in 2000. This officially put Realside on the map. Scud Cel-Shading Tests
The "Scud the Disposable Assassin: The Kid with a Broken Halo" trailer was rendered with VRay using several different complex shaders to achieve a solid, semi-realistic look. The end result looked good but was inefficient. The shot sampled here took four days to render. For the upcoming Scud web series, I had to find a new method. Using 3D Studio Max's "Ink n' Paint" shader, along with VRay's "Toon" effect, I'm now using a cel-shading effect, which makes 3D "feel" like 2D animation. Futurama uses a similar method to animate spaceships. This method has the advantage of taking far less time to render, as well as more faithfully adapting Rob Schrab's drawings. In this video are six different styles for the project's cel-shading effect. The web series will utilize each of these styles, depending on which works best for which shot/scenes. Zip-a-Tone effects may be used mainly for backgrounds.

What if My Little Pony was cel animated?
Screwing around in aftereffects, came up with something I thought was interesting. While applying this filter is closer to the idea of 3D cel shading (find polygon/object, outline, flatten color,) the technique of painting an outline then filling it with color one frame at a time is known as Cel Animation (or Traditional Animation). This video gives an idea of what it might look like if each frame were hand-drawn, even though the filter adds in a few things that wouldn't normally be there, like the double outline, and removes others, like the lens flares. took forever to get the right combination of "wont crash after effects, isnt terrible looking, syncs with the audio correctly" etc. upload #2 since youtube thought it would be cool to add a bunch of artifacts and blocking to my h264 upload. edit 4/12/12 go to bed, expect nothing. get nightly'd, wake up to 40 new comments. what the hay? thanks to whoever submitted lol. Mevrouw Glastra (97) moet Houtense cel in
Zo'n oude arrestant hadden ze in Houten nog nooit gezien: vandaag is in het cellencomplex in het dorp de 97-jarige mevrouw Glastra uit Utrecht achter slot en grendel gezet. Geboeid werd de vrouw afgevoerd bij het verzorgingshuis waar ze woont. Daarna werden vingerafdrukken afgenomen en is ze in de cel gezet.
