Beethoven's 6th symphony, dubbed 'the Pastoral Symphony' segment from Disneys Fantasia. In the second part, we meet up with a group of centauresses who are busy dolling themselves up with the assistance of some cherubs. Pretty soon, a band of male centaurs comes bounding along, gathering to see a spectacle. The ladies, having sufficiently prepared, parade themselves in front of the men, inviting any interested male to come up to them. In no time at all the centaurs begin pairing off with their chosen ladies and meander off through the meadow arm in arm. The cherubs congratulate themselves on a job well done until they see one centaur sitting by himself, alone and dejected. Feeling for his sorrow but unable to help, the cherubs heave heavy sighs. Then a solution to the problem presents itself in the form of a centauress who has also been left without a partner. Putting their heads together, the cherubs quickly formulate a plan to bring the two together. The plan is executed flawlessly and the two of them settle away together. (One quick warning. Any comments remarking on the centauresses toplessness at the beginning will be DELETED!)

It tells the story of the mythological creatures gathering for a festival to honor Bacchus, the god of wine riding his horned donkey, Jacchus, which is interrupted by Zeus, who decides to have a little fun by throwing lightning bolts at the attendees. Disney originally intended to use Cydalise by Gabriel Pierné as the music for the mythological section of the program. However, due to problems fitting the story to the music, the decision was made to abandon Cydalise for other music.

This is the Space Centaur from Silverlit and Flying Toys Ltd www.flyingtoys.com www.silverlit.com It is a 2 channel infra red aircraft with a look like no other, it has a foam body surrounding a single rotor, and a small motor in the nose to control spin and cancel out the torque form the main rotor. The foam Body is very strong and flexible and it protects the aircraft very well. It had to be difficult to get the balance correct on this aircraft, it flies like most 2 channel aircraft, it slowly moves forward on its own at a slow pace, you control the up down motion and the spin left and right. Its best not to give it to much control input, just let it do what it wants and try to keep it straight. It flies for 6 to 7 minutes on a 25 to 30 minute charge and it takes 6 double A batteries. This was at the world's first Segway Dealer meeting. The word was that Segway had something new up their sleeve and we would be blown away when we saw it. They couldn't have been more right. Eveyone's jaw hit the floor when one of the techies drove this bad boy onto the stage. The next day they blessed us with the opportunity to ride it. The Centaur. I believe they only ever made three of them. One out of the two they had at the meeting with them wasn't even a finished product. It looked sorta rough around the edges but ran like a dream. The finished one looked incredible. Let's just say I would have traded my next 50 yrs. of Christmas presents for one. The ride was simply incredible. By far the funnest vehicle I have ever ridden. As far as i've hear Segway has no plans to mass produce the vehicle but who knows. If they ever do I'll be the first in line to buy one.
