Thanks for watching. (Part 1 of 2) Note: I did not use the CG10 to film the review. Oddly enough, it was from a "higher end" digital camera that does not capture in HD. The sample video clip as well as pictures [in part 2] were all taken with the Xacti CG10, however, being in a mixed video environment (with and without HD, I believe youtube converted it all into non HD.) Here are the pros and cons: PROS -Comprehensive printed manual included. -Outstanding 3.0" screen - which can be rotated up to 285 degrees. -Pretty decent CMOS sensor. -10 Mega pixel photos / 720 HD 1280x720 30 fps video clips. -Has 5x Optical Zoom with flash Similar in class models sometimes are only fixed focal length or less than 5x optical zoom. Plus you can zoom in during video shooting. -Good placement of the two microphones located on the back of the flip screen. -Marginally better low light performance vs. similar models in its class. -Relative low noise in images but I think you lose a little of the sharpness in photos. -Overall good color reproduction without over saturation. -Option to choose from simple to more detailed setup screens. -Can change the shortcuts keys to go to some of the popular options available. -Good amount of manual controls for a lot or users. -Good macro focus capability (less than ½). -Good amount of features for the price point. -Lets not forget the cool factor. My new Casio PRIZM just arrived and I decided to make a video of it, since I couldn't find any video showing the actual calculator in action on Youtube) Like the FX-9860GII, this new calculator features a backlight and like the 1996 CFX-9850G series (which has been discontinued a long time ago) it also features a color screen, although it has 65536 colors instead of 4. The CPU is 29 MHz by default, there's 61 KB of user RAM available, 16 MB of archive. My only disappointment is that the BASIC language on it is slow for displaying stuff on the screen, even more than the 9860G. However there is a 3rd-party hack in the works at www.omnimaga.org that will enable the execution of custom add-ins and assembly language programs on the calculator. That said, the BASIC language has its benefits at least: Unlike the TI-Nspire, it is not as limited. The TI-Nspire did not even have display commands nor a key input command allowing the creation of complex programs. So for people who want to make BASIC games, you should have more freedom on the PRIZM than on the TI-Nspire and hopefully maybe some 3rd-party libraries will come out in the future.

Quick Video Clip About The Component Cable For The Sanyo Xacti CG10 (VCP CPNT01U). The cable uses the proprietary usb cable connection at the bottom of the cg10 and attaches it to the component in of your television set. There is an overall noticeable improvement in image and video quality that is displayed on the TV versus the standard the A/V cable that was included in the box at initial purchase. Again, I contend that because it has that proprietary connector, they should've included it with the CG10. Nonetheless, I think the cable is worth it the $20.23 price tag that I paid (which included shipping). Note: This cable seems to be in high demand. It appears at this time, the cable is out of stock from all the on-line vendors that I looked at (Including Amazon and Sanyo). Even looking at ebay, no one seems to have these available. I love the quality, just I prefer this camera over my other one. I used the song fireflies by owl city and edited the song so it would fit the video. The last clips are made in slow motion to go with the song a little better, I added frame blending in Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0 so it would be smoother. That is my cat Athia. Testing my Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10 HD video camera for performance in low light conditions. I manually set the ISO to 50; the camera is set to autofocus (rather than manual focus), and the EV is at 0. All other settings were left at "normal" or "off". The camera is equipped with an 8gb SDHC card, good for 1 hr, 54 minutes of video recording.
