One tochnit on our recent Winter Camp had a lasting effect on chanichim. The senior tochnit "Movie Money Maker" began with chanichim learning about eight different charities. They learnt through activities and movies and listened to passionate madrichim explain the amazing work of their assigned organisation. After chanichim chose the charity they were most passionate about, they set off to film and edit an advertisement for their charity. The children's dedication was extraordinary with most of them editing through lunch (choosing to eat by the computers) and into their free time to ensure the movies would be perfect. After the screening session later that day, the groups voted for which advertisement they thought was the best. And here's the catch: $1000 that was kindly donated by an anonymous donor, actually went to the charity that won. Bnei Akiva recently held a presentation evening for the winning team -- Zichron Menachem. The event was well attended and Baruch Levy from Zichron Menachem in Israel honoured our chanichim with certificates recognising their efforts. Zichron Menachem (www2.zichron.org is a charity that raises money to provide a full range of support for children and their families in Israel. We are proud that this tochnit gave our chanichim the chance to learn the balance between keeping for themselves and giving to others. We learnt that you care most about a cause when you put effort into it - a lesson that will stay with chanichim and madrichim <b>...</b>

Moshava Minute - Mach Hach Mondays - 8/10/09
Camp Moshava Presents The Moshava Minute: One of the best parts of being on the Mach Hach tochnit at Camp Moshava, Wild Rose, is the South Dakota trip. The chanichim and tzevet spend almost a full week hiking the badlands of South Dakota. One of the most interesting parts of the South Dakota trip is the top of the Harney Peak hike finding the names of many past Camp Moshava Mach Hach chanichim who have written their names up there. Camp Moshava hopes that next year Mach Hach will be run by Jack Gottesman, Yossi Bajtner and Lior Geft (all three of which are Camp Moshava, Wild Rose, lifers!)

we screened this video for the chanichim at the closing ceremony of 1st session. It's a recap of their experience, including educational peulot (activities), meals, trip week, maccabia, the Alumim hatzaga (play) and the gay rights rally organized by the chanichim themselves. Moshava Minute - Brit Milah at Moshava
Camp Moshava of Wild Rose, WI presents "The Moshava Minute"! Today, in Moshava we had the very special privilege of watching a Brit Milah performed by Rabbi Moshe Kushner of Chicago. Parents Jennifer and Ronen from Door County came to Moshava with their three daughters and newborn baby boy, Matan. Rabbi Kushner transformed the Brit Milah into an educational experience for the chanichim. He explained the Brit Milah process step by step, which the chanichim enjoyed very much. Following the Brit, a seudah was enjoyed by the participants.

Moshava Minute - Mach"TA Moment - 8/7/2008
Camp Moshava presents....The Moshava Minute!!! Watch chanichim at Camp Moshava preform for another for the MachT"A Moment. Although the chanichim from MachT"A only get one chance a week to be in the Moshava Minute, they always do a spectacular job. Watch this week as they preform from Yoni's Swing, a Moshava establishment going back almost 20 years. The Swanson's made the swing for Jon (or The Artist Formally Known as Yoni) Kushner for his first summer at Moshava. Mach Hach Mondays - Flash Mob
Camp Moshava presents the Moshava Minute. Todays Moshava Minute is extremely unique as it is a flash mob. There are few times throughout the day that the entire machaneh is united. One of those times is shekem. This past Monday our Mach Hach chanichim came downstairs and preformed a flash mob in front of the entire machaneh. Moshava will forever remember this as the longest Moshava Minute ever. The music for this Moshava Mintue is provided by Shlock Rock and features a special cameo by all star Jewish a capella group Beatachon. Beatachons leading member, Jordan B. Gorfinkel is a proud Moshava alum.
