Album: Russian Divine Liturgy RUSSIAN DIVINE LITURGY is a performance by the Novospassky Monastery Choir of the Russian Orthodox liturgy celebrated by a bishop. The music of the Russian Orthodox liturgy consists only of the human voice singing in the Russian Church Slavonic language (a redaction of Old Church Slavonic made easier for speakers of Russian to pronounce). No instrumentation is included.

Cherubin recaptured
Police have recaptured Simon Cheraubin who escaped from the Bordelais Correctional Facility early Monday morning. The wanted man was found in Gros Islet Monday afternoon minutes after he robbed a residential property in the area. Police recovered the stolen gold jewelry, a laptop and other valuables. The Officers also found Cherubin with two dangerous weapons, a knife and a flare gun. He has since been charged for robbery, escaping lawful custody possession of a dangerous weapon. Investigators say they are doing everything in their power to see to it that Cherubin does not escape their custody again.

Beautiful, colorful, rich, elegant costumes. Stunning , catchy scene effects. Excellent stage lighting. Absolutely worth watching. Based on a play by Francis de Croisset, with thanks to Beaumarchais and Mozart, Massenet's portrait of the randy young Cherubin is lovingly, even sentimentally, drawn. The main character is a 17-year-old army officer, far enough advanced in his career to have his own richly appointed chateau. Like Beaumarchais's and Mozart's girl-crazy adolescent, he wants to make love to whatever female he is near, and generally succeeds. Cherubin is capable of carrying on at least four affairs simultaneously: with a countess, a baroness, a famous Spanish dancer and a peasant girl (who at the end wins his eternal love, at least for the moment). Massenet suggests, however, that Cherubin is headed toward a career as a conquest-cataloguing libertine by quoting a bit of ''Don Giovanni'' in the romantic finale.
