"We are Romanians! We are Romanians! We have been here, owners of these lands, and will ever do!" "Un, doi, un doi -- comuniştii la gunoi!" -- "One, two, one two -- communists to the bin!" Fragment from the national anthem of Romania ("Awake, Romanians") [Young man] "We must be proud of the name of Moldavians!" [/Moldovans] It all started from a simple message on the internet, in which the youth called for a symbolical National Mourning day. All of those who didn't vote for the communists were called to meet in the National Assembly Square, to light up a candle. "We are ten guys, we've got together, and also together with a teacher, we have come down here in the downtown. We've put on black armbands/sashes as a sign of mourning -- because democracy is going, it's dieing, in our country." Thousands of Moldovans followed their example and at 6 pm, the crowd started marching in the streets of Kishinev/Chişinău. Down with the communists! Down with the communists! Down with the communists!
