I'm your host Dana Ward in Hollywood and we've got the Best of 2011 episode for Taylor Swift. She definitely stands out a star who was shining strong throughout the year, so let's rewind back. Early in 2011, January 5th, Taylor won Favorite Country Artist at the People's Choice Awards, right around the time that Speak Now is continuing to dominate the Billboard Top 200 albums chart at number-1. And just months later on March 30th, the musician reached 20-million in record sales. Fast forward just 4 days and her fans vote her as the ACM Entertainer of the Year, making her the 8th and youngest female to take the award in 40 years. During the month of May, TS is sure to raise more than 750-thousand dollars for tornado victims in the Southeast, thanks to ticket and merchandise sales on her Speak Now tour. May 6th marked the official debut of Taylor's music video, Mean. Then on May 24th, her video for Story of Us premiered on MTV. Mixed among various magazine covers and promo spots, Swift earned Video of the Year at the CMT for Mine on June 8 and just about 2 weeks later, the star celebrated her 8th number-1 single with Mean. Fast forward to August 7, and round of applause please, the singer grabbed an impressive 6 trophies at the Teen Choice Awards.
