Aspart of a greater movement with no real center or name, the Common Ground Youth Coalition is interviewing leading young change-makers to create a snapshot of what young people are doing for their generation nationally, and globally. The goal is to showcase young people from all walks of life who have been successful at making a change in the world, in any sector - public, private, political, religious, social, cultural, non-profit, etc. We hope that our collective work can demonstrate how youth can solve today's issues, work across traditional boundaries, and inspire others to do the same. Chris Hampson serves as the Northeast Regional Director and Director of Content Development with The Veritas Forum. The Veritas Forum is a non-profit organization that works with coalitions of Christian students on over 50 leading schools in the US, Canada, and Europe to create university events that engage students and faculty in discussions of life's hardest questions and the relevance of Jesus Christ to all of life. Hampson assists planning teams throughout New England and refines the organization's strategy for engaging life's hardest questions. Born in Cranston, Rhode Island, Hampson earned his BA from Harvard in the Comparative Study of Religion and concentrated in early Christian theology. Prior to joining the Veritas team, Chris taught inner-city students with TechMission and AmeriCorps and worked at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. This film by Chris Hampson is a document of the art exhibition that opened at Krannert Art Museum on October 24, 2008 and closed on Janurary 4, 2009 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The show was curated by Damian Duffy and John Jennings. It featured the work of 65 underrepresented comics artists and showcased 214 pieces. The show is now travelling. The film depicts an innocent robot, portrayed by Chris Hampson, who comes face-to-face with a wicked, ice cream scooping robot nemesis, played by Brian Barnes (the filmmakers). While visiting the local ice cream store, the naive robot orders ice cream from this enemy robot and then soon begins to notice many robots working in the store that are trying to warn him about something foreboding.
