I got a few requests to do the "real" version of this song after hearing my "hilarious harp song". This definitely needs work! I don't know the words yet so I spend most of the time in this recording trying to figure them out.. it's pretty slow, but i'll work on it and make it better!

It's not the most difficult piece I've ever played, but it's still beautiful and worth uploading for everyone to enjoy. This is how I decide if I'm going to sing a song while I play the harp! Every video that I sing and play has an entire iMovie file of me singing a capella first to see if I like it. I love love loveee this song! Here I am singing it in the style of Carrie Underwood's audition for american idol. Of course I'm on an AI kick right now with the season picking back up. I can guarantee I will play and sing this one for youtube at some point :)

I was sight reading the chords straight from the computer screen.. this is typically how I arrange pop/broadway/disney songs- find a key that I like and go from there. So here is a little glimpse into how I learn my music. With a little twist ;-) If you guys can't tell by now, I'm a harpist with a sense of humor.. Serious videos soon though I promise!

So.. I was in ATL this past weekend, and I had the pleasure of riding the MARTA (the rail system that transports people across the city of Atlanta). I was mortified by it, so here's my experience through song :) If you don't know, I am a very proud cheerleading coach, and we took our all-star team there to compete.. you will hear me talk about Heather in this song, she is the gym owner! Lyrics: We Went to Atlanta With Ohio Extreme ...But we stayed in Buckhead at Heather's favorite hotel, Embassy Suites It was 9 whole miles from our hotel to downtown but traffic there is crazy so there's a way to get around With all the people that could squeeze in through those open doors ..Well I won't ride the MARTA anymore! A 15minute cab ride is an hour on this thing 6 stops til we get to 5 points then jump from the red line to the green who understands these colors? take the blue line or the gold? Well I won't ride the MARTA anymore! In a city so wide people can stink sometimes standing side by side on this hour long riiiiide ;) you better hope that you get a seat 'cuz there's a lot of stop and go luggage rollin' people flyin' rubbin' on strangers you don't know This trip can sure get crazy eatin funyuns on the floor ♥ Well I won't ride the MARTA anymoreeeee
