"THE ADVENTURES OF MARK TWAIN depicts the author's journey to meet up with Haley's comet (Twain, who was born in a year in which Haley's comet appeared, rightly predicted his death would coincide with its next visit in 1910). Also on board were three stowaways, Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher, whose presence enabled Twain to tell them such stories as The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County and The Diary of Adam and Eve (which was incorporated into the story). When simple recitations were not possible, plot devices like the Index-O-Vator and Astro-viewer were introduced to permit visits to The Mysterious Stranger and Capt. Stormfield. This is how Stereoscopic 3D is created in stop motion animation. This is how hollywood 3D stop motion movies (pirates, hugo) are shot. The biggest problem with the slider is that you can not achieve any long exposure camera tricks such as motion blurs ect because everything needs to be exactly same for the right eye and left eye image for the stereo 3D effect to work. This is my current set up - Canon 5D mark II Dragonframe 3 stop motion software IOTA Slider WARNING: If you buy anything from Dragonframe from outside the USA, they will tax you A LOT! I had to pay 350 euros extra for my IOTA Slider, and it BROKE after just 2 weeks. If I wanted a replacement, they said i would have to pay ANOTHER 350 euro tax, so I had to do the repairs myself. Here's a favorite from my childhood. Dinosaurs! - A Fun-Filled Trip Back in Time! is a movie released by Golden Book Video in 1987 under their "GoldenVision" series. It stars Fred Savage playing a grade school student named Philip who gives a class report on dinosaurs, with the help of an animated chalkboard and Will Vinton's claymation dinosaurs. Originally created in 1980, when it was known more simply as Dinosaur, the 17-minute claymation short by Vinton Studios would later be used for this 1987 video. The popular short is also played at the Smithsonian Museum and has won numerous awards. Dinosaurs! was designed as an educational film for young children new to the world of prehistoric life; the video slipcase describes the film with "Discover the real monsters who dominated the earth for millions of years!" The cartoon animation of the chalkboard is used to elaborate on attributes such as the extinction of the dinosaurs as well as their brain capacity, while the Vinton claymation illustrates, in a colorful and simplistic manner, the brutal lives of the many dinosaurs. The movie also introduces a music video for the song "Mesozoic Mind" by Charmer, featuring cartoon dinosaurs performing it.
UPDATE 28/5/2011: I feel I should say a few things about this video that have not yet been answered. This was made for a competition on the Wallace & Gromit website and won the monthly contest. The video was watched by Nick Park which is good to know :D I'm afraid to say that I won't be making the second part because I would rather work on films using my own ideas, characters and storylines etc. I'm truly sorry for everybody looking forward to the second part.. I've also been getting a lot of comments about Wallace looking "scary" - I could never quite get his head right haha. -------------------------- I've been working off and on on this claymation for almost a year now. I hope you all enjoy it! Facts about this film: -Wallace's voices were recorded from the four wallace and gromit films -All of the models were built by myself, and the sets were made with help from my dad (the clock and fireplace were bought from a shop though! don't remember which lol) -If you have any further questions, feel free to leave a comment.
