Honestly, I didn't expect that this team would do so well. I believe the last stall battle, that I had in singles was my Heatran Vs Blissey. Now we have a Japanese trainer, who has a Clefable that prolongs the battle until the very end. If I continued the battle, then I knew I was able to stop Clefable because she already had six Cosmic Powers and switching Clefable out wouldn't really help him/her. Also, it looked like if Clefable didn't have an offensive move at all. I didn't have enough time for the battle. Oh, well the video explains some details. I used Lanturn, Salamence and Tauros. The opponent used Exeggutor, Weezing and Clefable. One last thing: It is official August, the 30th in my country and that means it's my birthday again. However, I'm not going to upload any video that day. For the people who want to know how old I'am, I will tell you now. I'm now 20 years old. Life sure goes fast. Expect the next video at Wednessday. This battle is actually the first battle that I had with the Giovanni pass over Wi-fi, so you'll see quite a few prediction mistakes in this battle. Too say that Clefable was a pain in my behind in this battle would be a gross understatement. He definately threw a monkey-wrench into my plans and his ability to absorb most of my attacks was phenomonal. Now, I'll make a list of what I was surprised about in this battle. 1. That Golem did not outspeed Linoone after a Rock Polish, I now know that I need 2 to outspeed things. 2. That Clefable is a beast. 3. That Earthquake does a dumb amount of damage on Rhydon. I was hoping it would either do more or less to let it either survive another attack, or to activate it's Custap Berry. Either way that didn't work out. 4. That Nidoking has crap defenses and got OHKO'd by Metagross. 5. That Persian is strickly a supporter/annoyer and to not rely on it as an attacker. 6. That Kangaskhan probably would have helped more in this battle than Persian, so when there's more defensive Pokemon to use Kangaskhan, and when there are quick and speedy people to use Persian. Clefable shines in this battle. I guess the opponent didnt remember about Magic Guard preventing poison damage. That is why burning/poisoning Clefable will do nothing other than give Clefable a free turn and immunity to other status problems. By the way, Magic Guard prevents life orb damage which is why Clefable never got life orb damage.

A quick briefing on the move the persians used Wave 1 - Rest Wave 2 - Protect Wave 3 - Thunderbolt Wave 4 - Shadow Claw Wave 5 - Water Gun Wave 6 - Take Down Wave 7 - Bite Wave 8 - Power Gem Strategy: Wave 1 - 3: In this wave, I am sure most of you do not have much trouble with this stage. Nidoking alone is pretty much the key of this wave. Wave 4 - 5: This wave need Clefable. Switch your Clefable with Nidoking and use follow me. The shadow claw the persians use are pretty high damage against Nidoking/Golem. By using Clefable with follow me, the shadow claws are all directed at Clefable. Tips: Clefable are immune to shadow claws. Wave 5 is pretty much the same. Use Clefable as the "victim" here. Water move isn't very effective against Clefable so it won't hurt much. Wave 6: This wave is a killer stage. The 'take down' the persians use can deal very heavy damage that can defeat 1 to 5 of your pokemon. Here's team number five. The idea is to start a belly drum chain with Linoone, but the dependency on the strategy usually makes my battles with this team often very hard or very easy. That's how it is with "baton pass" style teams though. I did not think that Linoone would die to an earthquake from Torterra, but I wanted to scout for the move and suspected trick room. Belly drumming in a trick room is just too risky. Trick room really hurts my strategy as Linoone loses all of its speed advantages. Fortunently, Bronzong exploded and did not even take out anyone. The opponent assumed rock slide would take out Clefable but this Clefable is very sturdy, and that allowed one more "follow me" before going down. I used Clefable, Linoone, Weavile, and Medicham (unseen). My opponent used Torterra, Bronzong, Infernape, and Luxray. Teams like this are only really effective once though. They rely a bit on the element of surprise. After this battle I got rematched with the same person and the battle was much more uphill for me. Linoone never got to belly drum and my other Pokemon instead copied Clefable's stat boosts (it got five cosmic powers in by the time the match was over). The opponent realized they'd never be able to take down Clefable when it was just Medicham and Clefable on my side and gave up.

This the debut of my updated old team, since my teams are still under "construction." And what a magnificent debut it was! This opponent learned his/her lesson when people let my Moltres and Clefable set up. These guys do a rough sweep of the opponent team and you have only seen a fraction of my Clefable's power. This battle began with no aggressive behavior, but it seems like I used my turn better than my opponent. After that, you'll see the sweeping. At the end I loved watching SolarBeam "shear" through that massive Wailord. I used Moltres, Clefable, Bronzong (Shiny), and Mismagius. My opponent used Clefable, Forretress, Charizard, and Wailord.

Pokémon Platinum is going to come out tomorrow, but I don´t care anymore, because I already bought the game today. For now It´s going fine with Platinum. I use my Diamond version for training pokemon in the doubles section. I want to play Platinum in a different way. Training NFE pokemon, or just using Platinum for making single based teams. Anyway, I faced here a Japanese trainer again. Surprisingly, his pokemon weren´t EV trained. He always can teach it him/herself. The battle was at least enjoyable. Clefable was great here and yeah this is what Clefable does to pokemon, which try to Sucker Punch me. I have to admit that the burn hax with Clefable was a lucky one.

I'm going to play through all courses in EX mode on my first try, without coming back with stronger Pokemon. The fourth course is Rocky Cave. Now I'm starting with Rhydon, which is actually found in Rocky Cave, and the reason I have it is because I died on first try on this course, so the one you are seeing is the second try. I switch out to a Rhydon with a better moveset of Thunderbolt and Earthquake, then my Dusknoir, Pidgeot, a Clefable I pick up, a different Clefable with Shadow Ball, a third Clefable, a Marowak from my first try here, a Machamp, and finally Gabite when Machamp goes down on the boss. The boss is a Rhydon, which I do not get. Fiery Furnace will be the next course.

pretty short but sweet montage of my metronome team. they arent anything special, i use blissey(i dont think it appears in the vid), togekiss, and clefable. i ev trained all of them in hp, togekiss in speed, clefable in sp atk, and blissey in def. this team is absolutely horrible, its just hilarious watching a clefable metronome a draco meteor and OHKO a garchomp. ;)

This was a close battle. I use my 1st gen team, with my Follow-Me Clefable this time, again just to test out Wifi and Triple Battles. Clefable sure can take a punch! :D The opponent quit, but Jynx's Psychic would have most likely KO'd Milotic thanks to her Nasty Plot. I know this match was cut off short. My sister happened to trip over the recording cables. Nothing was disconnected and it was still recording, but it seems she loosened up the cables and I only realized the problem when it was too late. Well, I won the battle. At the end Jirachi used another Calm Mind and my Clefable used Focus Punch. Clefable charged up Focus Punch, and then Jirachi used Calm Mind. Snorlax did Earthquake, it didn't break the Substitute and Jirachi barely held up. Followed by "Slammed by Focus Punch!" As the head to head struggle commences you can easily see my Golem/Raikou strategy. Unfortunately (yeah I use that word a lot) for me, Golem didn't get to make a move. After Golem's wipeout, I was worried Discharge would paralyze my Jirachi. Do you think I should put a Lum Berry or that other berry that only cures paralysis? That Substitute saved me from what could have been a KO. I think that you saw already that when I chose Psychic my pointer was over Muk, but it chose Snorlax! Those things have a massive Sp. Def! I didn't want to use Hidden Power on a Special Wall like Snorlax, but I was flustered... I should have switched. Psychic hits its target and I switch to Clefable. And now you start to see the effects of the loosening of cables. I used Raikou (Shiny), Golem (Shiny), Jirachi, and Clefable. My opponent used Aerodactyl, Gallade, Muk, and Snorlax.

First off, My Togekiss is a Timid Nasty Plotter. It may seem harsh that I spammed Thunder wave with Miltank but I didn't have a choice. Swellow and Clefable got owned in this match. Rather than bringing back the cyber nerd Steve from my old save file, I created a new cyber nerd named Nicholas. Who more of less looks exactly like Steve. *The Battle* Not really a smooth beginning for me. After some switching around, I thought he wanted Dragonite to use Earthquake so he could use Encore on it, and then switching to Mismagius. But Lucario breaks through the Substitute and picks off Raichu with Extremespeed. Mew knocks out Lucario and switches to Clefable. Dragonite defeats Clefable and is defeated by Mew. I only have Magnezone left, but Magnezone has a new trick up its sleeve. I taught it Signal Beam. With its shiny new move, Magnezone easily defeats Mew and nets me the victory. Linoone had a hard time this match. It largely was due to the opponent outsmarting me. You ever have those battles where it's almost as if the opponent can see the moves you are making? It sometimes even seems the items on their Pokemon are meant to counter your team. Heatran was the biggest threat; not surprisingly considering its massive stats. I was lucky icy wind missed Linoone as the speed drop would have royally screwed me up later. On the second turn I assumed they'd target Linoone so I could get a free cosmic power, but instead I lost Clefable. Sometimes I think the opponents instinctively target Clefable since they just assume it will keep doing follow me. When Medicham tried to use psych up the opponent once again knew what I was up to. It's amazing how strong that overheat was after all those special attack drops. Of course, Linoone's stats are nothing to brag about. At least Relicanth managed to copy the stat boosts which allowed it to sweep. Ambipom was walled by Relicanth and desperately tried paralysis to avoid death, but that couldn't save it. I used Linoone, Clefable, Medicham, and Relicanth. My opponent used Heatran, Blastoise, Ambipom, and Sceptile.

There are some situations where I have to throw away strategy and just confront the enemy directly. This hail team is one of them. Knowing that blizzard would hit Linoone, I had to not use it (even though it is vital to my strategy). Purugly was useful because of its thick fat, Weavile and Relicanth are resistant to ice, and Clefable is immune to hail. I tried my best here without my typical leads. I used Relicanth, Weavile, Purugly, and Clefable. My opponent used Abomasnow, Weavile, Jynx, and Mamoswine.

Two weather Pokemon!? Its weird how this guy has two different weather Pokemon(?). Anyway, thats not important. What's important is what happened in this battle. Well first, after Clefable used Protect, and it saw Bonemerang coming I was like, "Of course he's gonna switch to Flygon!" lol, I was right, so beforehand I used Double-Edge; and surprising it KO'd Flygon. I then had to worry about Tentacruel. I knew Marowak couldn't outspeed it, so I switched out to Magneton. Suprisingly, Surf took off more than half of Shocker's HP. Next, I used Endure thinking he's just gonna Surf again; he didn't, he switched out. When Clefable came out right away I said, THUNDER WAVE! So I switched Rocky back in; I get a Critcal hit on Clefable and KO it, lol! He sends Tentacruel in, as his last Pokemon. I switched to Regice, and from there its a long war between Regice and Tentacruel. I used: Marowak (Rocky), Magneton (Shocker), and レジアイス (Regice) Opponent used: Clefable, Flygon, and Tentacruel

Singles battle with my Mia pass! It consists of mostly of my favorite guys from other passes, along with two new guys. This was a pretty good match, featuring a little bit of prediction. Most Primeape seem to be Scarfed, and it switching out from Xatu confirmed that here. Drapion barely surviving that Stone Edge with 1 HP was pretty nifty, and Clefable gets really unlucky/lucky with Freeze.. Hehe. A special Quagsire isn't something you see every day!
