Cobo, GEOX-TMC's Vuelta Triumph: Fuji's Road to Red

Relive Juan Jose Cobo and his GEOX-TMC teammates' extraordinary journey to the final podium in Madrid. The ultimate underdogs, Cobo had considered giving up cycling just months before delivering the ride of his life on the famed Angliru's 22% grade aboard his Fuji Altamira, brilliantly defending the red jersey after his epic Stage 15 win, and ascending the podium as the champion of his native Spain's grand tour. GEOX-TMC's season had been defined by the Tour de France snub, but on September 11, 2011, the team and its new leader, Cobo, took their rightful spot on top. Learn more at www.fujibikes.com

Milton Cobo & Isabel Freiberger at 2010 Japan Salsa Congress

Great freestyle dancing by professional Salsa dancers Milton Cobo and Isabel Freiberger! A very nice demonstration of technical skill and musicality. Both dancers are with the "Cobo Brothers Dance Company," based in North Carolina, USA. For more information about the dancers, visit: www.CoboBrothers.com The song in this video clip is an instrumental version of "Via" by Al Delory. The Salsa version with lyrics is by Willy Chirino. The original Italian version (not Salsa) was by Claudio Baglioni. The video clip was recorded during October 2010 at the 2010 Japan Salsa Congress in Tokyo, Japan. I have "borrowed" it from the original Japanese channel so that more English-speaking viewers would locate it through YouTube search and other search engines. I do not use any of my YouTube posts for revenue purposes, but just so that my subscribers and more viewers can discover clips that they might not otherwise see. I hope you enjoy watching it! PS -- To view the clip in HD on the original Japanese channel, please follow this link www.youtube.com .

KISS - Deuce - Cobo Hall 1976 (upgrade)

KISS in their triumphant return to Cobo Hall! They sold out all 3 nights! This concert was the last known performance of 'Ladies In Waiting'. Rather than deal with the glut of interview requests, the band held a press conference at the Airport Hilton for key members of the Detroit media. No other interviews were granted during the band's three day stay. Upon arriving in Detroit on the 25th, Bill Aucoin (their manager) went straight from the venue to a video suite for the intro to the evening's show. The video was projected on a screen above the stage prior to the beginning of the concert. All three of KISS's January 1976 performances at Cobo Arena were archived on videotape by the Kelly Kirby production team. The band's first tourbook, 'In Concert 1976', debuted at this show, it was one of three initial pieces of merchandise sold by Boutwell Enterprises, who were brought on board in January to handle merchandising. Boutwell was also in charge of handling the band's fan club, the KISS Army!
