The engine is a 7.0L V8 producing the incredible amount of 720bhp and 920nm, that's enough for moving it from 0 to 100 km/h (0-60 mph) in just 3s and a top speed of 340 km/h. During the Top Marques 2011, Spada Vetture Sport presented the new Codatronca Monza, the brand new roadster version of the unique Spada Codatronca TS. Based on a Corvette Z06 and powered by a supercharged 7.0 liter V8 engine with 700 hp and 950 Nm of torque, the Codatronca Monza is fast and light "barchetta", dedicated to the purism of driving on the track. The powertrain includes a six-speed manual transmission, and weight just stops at about 1250kg. Top speed is 340 km/h - or 212 mph, and acceleration 0 to 100 km/h or 62 mph is covered in 3 seconds! ⒷⒺⓈⓉⓃⒺⓉⓌⓄⓇⓀ① 2011 The first pictures of the Spada Vetture Sport Codatronca Monza have leaked to the web, ahead of its unveiling at Top Marques Monaco. Designed primarily for racing, the bespoke roadster features a low-slung appearance with clean lines and a distinctive rear end which recalls the Codatronca TS. Official information is still pending, but the CM is reportedly based on the Corvette Z06 and features a supercharged 7.0-liter V8 engine with 700 PS (515 kW / 690 hp). It is paired to a six-speed manual transmission, which should ensure the 1250 kilogram (2756 pound) roadster is breathtakingly fast. No word on how many cars will be built, but pricing is expected to start at €250000 ($355000).

Director Kobayashi has been contacted by Paolo Spada, one of the owner of SVS (Spada Vetture Sport), around 6 months ago to develop an online campaign for their brand new product: Codatronca, a super car with amazing performances (0-100 Km/h in 3.4 sec.) and a unique design. Kobayashi immediately associated this car to his most loved comics and manga's vehicles, like Kaneda's bike in Akira or the Batmobile. The only difference... Codatronca is real! SVS asked the director to take as much time as needed to craft the best possible experience and gave him complete creative freedom and a high budget for the entire production. Kobayashi wanted to maintain total control over the production process, so, thanks to his 360° skills, he took care of every single aspect of modeling, animation, rendering, compositing, editing and sound design by himself alone. He decided to create a Digital Anime settled in Tokyo, all centered around the car's incredible driving qualities. To emphasize the beautiness of its design he rendered the environment and the vehicle with two different styles. The result is a clash between photorealistic 3D and painted 2D images. Difficile trovare riferimenti o avanzare paragoni per una vettura tanto originale, ispirata e figlia delle barchette da corsa presenti negli anni '60. Ci rimettiamo nuovamente a quanto scritto da Paolo Spada, da suo padre Ercole e da Domiziano Boschi: la Codatronca Monza è "un'auto dal gusto forte e senza vie di mezzo. O piace o non piace". Iniziammo già un articolo con queste parole, le uniche adatte a riassumere l'essenza di una sportiva purtroppo confinata nell'esemplare unico oggetto di questa nuova galleria fotografica. La Codatronca Monza utilizza un telaio tubolare in alluminio ed una carrozzeria in materiali compositi, mentre sotto il cofano anteriore batte un V8 da quasi 7 litri con doppio sistema di sovralimentazione tramite compressori rotex. L'otto cilindri raggiunge così una potenza di 720 CV ed un coppia motrice di 90 kgm, traducibili nell'accelerazione 0-100 km/h inferiore a 3 secondi e nella velocità massima di 335 km/h. Il peso a secco è di 1.180 chili, ottenuto grazie agli interni in stile racing con sedili e cinture Sabelt. Notevole il volante Aim dotato di acquisizione dati in can, gps e collegamento alla Smartycam Aim per registrare video in HD con la sovraimpressione dei dati di telemetria e del cruscotto dell'auto. Although rumored previously, Bloomberg is citing two unidentified sources who say the Galibier will be launched in 2013 or 2014 with a base price of approximately 1 million euros ($1.42 million USD). As you may recall, the Galibier concept is a five-door hatchback with sleek styling and a bespoke interior. It featured a supercharged 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine which likely produced between 800 PS (588 kW / 789 hp) and 1000 PS (735 kW / 986 hp).
