www.c64audio.com - buy the music used in this video from that awesome site! Lots of other great music there too and DRM free music. Well, I figured I might as well do a C64 one as well :) I'm not 100% satisfied with this one though.. it's not as good as the Amiga one. The reason is that I made this one just after finishing the Amiga one and I was a little burnt out I guess.. got very sick of making this one almost right away. It's stilld decent though so I hope some people can enjoy it at least :) The soundtrack consists of these three songs, all by Instant Remedy - Flimbo's Quest Commando Game On (Issue 0989) Complete list of games in this video (might be some errors) - 1. The Amiga 500, also known as the A500, was the first "low-end" Commodore Amiga 16/32-bit multimedia home/personal computer. It was announced at the winter Consumer Electronics Show in January 1987, at the same time as the high-end A2000, and competed directly against the Atari 520ST. en.wikipedia.org

The Commodore 64 and Amiga are back, and expected to start shipping later this month. Even about 30 years past their prime, these iconic machines are still in the hearts and minds of technology enthusiasts everywhere. The new version looks very close to the way the original did, with only slight differences. Would you buy one? chris.pirillo.com http facebook.com

I see a bunch of remixes but nobody uploaded the original. Here it is, the famous Comic Bakery tune by Martin Galway. EDIT: 2/23/08 - I'd like to thank J14W31 for pointing out that the main melody is referenced almost verbatim in the Jurassic Park games for NES and Gameboy in these two Youtube videos: watch?v=JlonCdEJckQ Starting at 1:36 watch?v=8SXqIZoprJQ Starting at 0:43 Just to clarify, I'm fully aware this song was totally lifted for the Jurassic Park games, but it's still kind of neat. Just a little note, I've experimented with different SID emulators and right now I'm still using the ancient sidamp, but it's fast and good enough. It's also the only one I've used that doesn't have problematic sample timing.

This is probably our most famous tune, and probably the one most far away from our usual style---which is rock music. This tune is an "off the mill" boy band song about love to our beloved C64. At one point we figured "What c64 tune would be great if interpreted as a boy band song?" The answer was Comic Bakery written by Martin Galway.

The Commodore Amiga CD32 was a home video game system made by Commodore. It was released in 1993 in the UK and Canada, but was never released in the US. During the short life of the Amiga CD32, only 100000 systems were sold.

Commodore Amiga classic from 1991 by The Bitmap Brothers. Gods might be one of the most challenging titles on the amiga (especially if you run through the levels for the first time), but it's also one of the most enjoyable and best looking games with that certain Bitmap Brothers pixel-perfect look. Excellent level design, lots of power ups and different enemies, traps, hidden areas and secrets to explore will let you come back to this game again and again. Gods features four levels, each with a different set of graphics and consisting of up to three "worlds". It is one of the first games which monitors the player's skills, altering the difficulty in detail. This video features the first two worlds including a short visit at the merchant's shop.

The Commodore 128 was the somewhat ill-fated successor to the extremely popular Commodore 64 computer. Full compatibility with the C64 was both the C128's biggest selling point and also its ultimate downfall. The C64 remained so popular that very few companies wanted to abandon the huge C64 market base by creating software which would only run on the C128 and take advantage of its extra capabilities. Also, even with its enhanced features, the C128 was still only an 8-bit computer, introduced at a time when 16- and 32-bit computers, such as Commodore's own Amiga series, were rapidly taking over. In this video I demonstrate some of the Commodore 128's differences and unique features versus a standard Commodore 64. I do not have any C128-specific software, but it has a built-in enhanced version of BASIC, and of course 128K of RAM, versus 64K on the C64. The C128 also has a built-in Z80 chip, for running CP/M software -- effectively making it "three computers in one": C64 mode, C128 mode, and Z80 mode.

It had great graphics, music and imagination for its time. Its pretty cool the way Jonathon Dunn managed to get ethnic Vietcong sounding instruments out of the SID chip too. ------------------------------------------ The Jungle Confrontation. You must lead your platoon deep into the depths of the Vietnamese jungle. Locate the explosives left by the other platoon, and proceed to blow up the bridge. This will prevent a VC squad from following you. Once the bridge is destroyed, proceed to the village. Once at the village, find anything that will become useful, and find the entrance to the underground network of tunnels. You must avoid civilian casualities, and beware of Vietcong trip wires & booby traps.

Here's a neat collage of C64 demos and animations which I put together a long time ago as part of my first 'Xmas Chortles' movie. I revisited the footage a few years ago and added a better C64 music remix (Last Ninja by Instant Remedy) and improved the pace and editing slightly. I hope you enjoy watching this great selection of C64 clips! Please note that none of this footage has been speeded-up or digitally enhanced in any way, it is ALL Realtime Commodore 64 footage! This video is also available on the Back in Time Live Showreel DVD (with much better picture quality) www.binaryzone.org (it's in the retro DVD section!) You can also download many of the demos featured in this video from the 'FREE BZPD Disks' section on www.binaryzone.org
