What Is A Chemical Compound

Check us out at www.tutorvista.com A chemical compound is a pure chemical substance consisting of two or more different chemical elements that can be separated into simpler substances by chemical reactions. Chemical compounds have a unique and defined chemical structure; they consist of a fixed ratio of atoms that are held together in a defined spatial arrangement by chemical bonds. Chemical compounds can be compound molecules held together by covalent bonds, salts held together by ionic bonds, metallic compounds held together by metallic bonds, or complexes held together by coordinate covalent bonds. Substances such as pure chemical elements and elemental molecules consisting of multiple atoms of a single element (such as H2, S8, etc.) are not considered chemical compounds. Elements form compounds to become more stable. They become stable when they have the maximum number of possible electrons in their outermost energy level, which is normally two or eight valence electrons. This is the reason that noble gases do not frequently react: they already possess eight valence electrons (the exception being helium, which requires only two valence electrons to achieve stability).

Here is a video that describes Ultimate Compound, ScratchX 2.0 and SwirlX from Barry himself! Some Raves: Ultimate Compound™ - G17216 "I used your Ultimate Compound last week on my uncles 09 Nissan Murano. It had a few scratches so we bought it. I used it by hand and I was really impressed on how fast it got rid of them. I was expecting a lot more work to achieve the results I got and the finish was then ready for a good wax." FM -- , "Your new Ultimate Compound exceeded my expectations for sure! I was surprised with it's ability to remove defects so easily by hand. It will be a staple in my arsenal!" DD -- St. Augustine, FL "I just wanted to call and tell you that this Ultimate Compound you told me to get is amazing stuff. You were right on. This is making my life so much easier on my black pickup. It's easy to use and really gets the job done fast. It's working a whole lot better than those other things I tried. I just wanted to call and thank you." JM -- , NC ScratchX™ 2.0 - G10307 "Let me first start by saying that I have never written a product testimonial in my life... for anything. I own a 2008 Dark Blue Metallic Audi A4. This car is my baby. I wash it by hand every weekend, and spend several hours washing and waxing it every couple of months. Several months ago the trunk of my car was viciously attacked by the mother of all bird droppings. By the time I had discovered the aerial assault, it had been baking in the hot Florida sun for hours. Wiping away the mess ...

Naming Organic Compounds Part 1

This Leah4sci Tutorial introduces the concept of naming organic compounds including the theory, methods, and steps for naming simple and complex molecules. Part 1 of a multi-video series, this video addresses naming simple straight chain alkanes, and introduces naming branched or substituted alkanes. Future videos will take you through naming multi-substituted alkanes, functional groups, alkenes, alkynes, and cyclic organic compounds. Many students struggle with organic chemistry because they try to memorize rather than understand the concepts and mechanisms. My goal is to break down the concepts so that you can understand and apply them to your homework, quizzes and exams If you enjoyed this video please show your appreciation by giving it a thumbs up; and subscribe to my channel for quick access to all new tutorial uploads I will be creating quizzes to help you study the concepts in this quiz. The Daily Songer - Alien Organic Compounds (Song #11)

LIKE Favorite, thumbs up! It helps me a lot! The Daily Songer #11 Today I saw an article about how scientists found organic matter in space. At least they saw some kind of light with their telescopes to indicate these complex molecules. I'm not really sure exactly how that works or how they really know what it is without actually closely observing and interacting with it. So I figured what better way to tell the story than a 80s inspired Depeche Mode kinda sound? Here's a link to the article. www.space.com Alien Organic Compounds By Dan Tulloh © 2011 Lyrics So "They" the ones that know everything Found organic matter in space Perhaps we're not the only race The stars created organic compounds That were surprisingly complex And ejected them into space We don't want to be alone So we travel far from home Something we hope to find We travel inside our own minds Compounds resembled petroleum and coal Now we know where to go When our earthy fuel runs out We'll send a rocket way out there Hope it has enough fuel to get home Perhaps it'll powered by the sun We don't want to be alone So we travel far from home Something we hope to find We only travel inside our own minds How can we call it organic if it's not based on life? How do we really know what we're really looking at? when we're only basing our assumptions on various wavelengths of light We've never smelled it we never gotten a sample we've never held it By the way what if it is really alive! We don't want to be alone So ...
