Japanese convenience stores are amazing, and I constantly have to resist visiting them, for fear that my wallet will dry up. Somethings from these corner stores can also be found in the States at Asian markets, like Pocky, Toppo, Pretz and Calpis Soda. Yum! I filmed all of this in Osaka, Japan, and have to give kudos to my camera man and classmate from Kansai Gaidai University, Jace.

They invented ketchup, the Klondike bar, of course their football team The Steelers, and now they're going to be known for the most convenient recycling ever. Caught on tape: A store owner faces off with a robber waving an unusual weapon ― a really, really big stick. This unusual weapon led to a tense, awkward standoff between a market owner and a robber Tuesday morning. The store owner, Jugal Uppal, grabbed a hammer to defend himself. As a Manassas, Va., store owner opened his business, a man barged in wielding a really big stick — taller than he was, it appears. A staff, really. As far as police are concerned, it was an armed robbery. At one point, the robber jumped the counter. Uppal grabbed the stick but didn't hang on for long.
