If you've watched cookingwithdog's dango recipe and wondered what it would be like for an unprofessional cook such as yourself to make it while having nostalgic thoughts about Clannad, this video will help you see exactly what happens. Original recipe can be found here: www.youtube.com Tips: If the dough remains sticky and gooey after 5 minutes of kneading, add more flour. If the dough is too crumbly or stiff, add a touch of water. Mirin is easy to find in Chinese supermarkets. For Canadians, try TnT or Oriental Food Mart. It is also called sweet cooking rice seasoning. I used Kikkoman's Aji-Mirin. The red eyes on the sweet soy sauce dangos were just red sugar crystals, the kind used to decorate cupcakes. The black eyes were made by dipping wet toothpicks into ground sesame and drawing them on.
