My i7 just got here, and i decided to make a video of the unboxing and installation of it onto the intel DX58SO motherboard. For all of you people that keep saying "YOU DIDN'T USE THERMAL PASTE", the Intel Stock Heatsink comes with thermal paste already applied. Some 3rd party cooling solutions such as the Corsair H50 also come with thermal past already on the cooler. That means all you have to do is mount it. Yes, i dropped the processor when i took it out of the box, that seems to happen to me every time i open the stupid things, and yes i was texting my girlfriend in the middle of the video.

In this video I unbox the Intel Core i7 C0 Stepping Quad Core Processor. The Core i7 is Intel's newest quad core offering. The Core i7 is a 2.66 GHz CPU with 8MB L3 Cache. It was build using a 45nm process utilizes Intel's new LGA1366 socket. The Core i7's now use QPI also known as Quick Patch Interconnect which replaces the front side bus. Also, the memory controller is now on the chip on no longer on the motherboard. I am going to be using this i7 in my upcoming Core i7 Gaming PC build. Stay tuned for more videos.
