Come go for a ride in this 528-Fuel-Injected-All Aluminum-Hemi-Powered altered wheelbase AFX funny car. NHRA outlawed these lethally fast machines for most of 1965, allowing them to eventually return due to large crowds they draw. This one brings more cubes and electronic fuel injection to the table. 1965 Dodge Coronet - Homebuilt Big Block Mopar
Here's a photo and video summary of my Dodge Coronet. See my other videos for the engine specs, but any questions, just ask. This is pretty much home-built except for the paint job! Looking forward to the next Mopar project, whenever/whatever that might be, but still a little ways to go on this one. Shot with a Panasonic DMC-ZS3, and any pixelation in the video is due to the way I converted the raw file from .mov to .wmv so I could work in Windows Movie Maker. Could have been a little better...

1965 Dodge Coronet acceleration part 1
This is up to a little over 5000 rpm - roller valvetrain probably has over 6000 in it. Still working on a few bugs, so I haven't really pushed it yet. Engine is a '77 440 block (+.030) with KB 10.3:1 hyper pistons, Edelbrock RPM heads, Comp 308R (262 @ .050/.575 lift) solid roller cam, Weiand tunnel ram with Holley 4160 600 cfm carbs. Summit universal 3" X-pipe to Magnaflow 11229 mufflers dumped at the axle. Mopar 8 3/4" (489) rear end with 3.91 suregrip gears. Trans is a 727 built with Hughes parts, Turbo Action "Cheetah" reverse manual valvebody, and ACC Boss Hog 3600 stall converter. Color is a BASF single stage urethane enamel called "Red." Camera is a Panasonic DMC-ZS3 - you can watch the video in HD. I accidentally left the wind filter setting on, so you don't get as good of sound quality with this one.

Coronet Films (also Coronet Instructional Media Inc.) was a producer and distributor of American educational films from 1946 to the early 1970s founded by David A. Smart. The company produced instructional short films aimed at young teenagers and high school students which were produced by dozens until the mid-1950s when production tapered off. Social guidance on topics such as dating, family life, courtesy and citizenship were typical themes of the films with occasional educational topics such as the solar system and the human body. Coronet was active during the 1973-1974 school year when they placed over sixty titles for evaluation with Project METRO of the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC), in central Connecticut. Titles included "A Is For Alphabet", Color, Color Everywhere", "Dating Scene", and "Understanding Shakespeare: His Stagecraft." [1] Many of the titles in their catalog were produced early in the post-war film boom; they were typical of the quality, production values, and content of media of the period: no better, no worse, and often humorous in the context of the post mid-1960's sexual revolution, but true artifacts of their time. After entering public domain, the films of Coronet were recognized by many as notable kitsch, especially after a few became shorts for the cable TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000 which mocked the films' production values and underlying messages. I knew I wanted to do a dub-step sooner or later, and I knew that I wanted to do a remix of Mt. Coronet. Ta-da?? Well first time for everything lol. Composed by ear as usual, but I didn't do the entire theme because the rhythm and all the accidentals in the original piece is a bitch to get by ear. Like seriously, it almost got to the point where I started crying ;~; To me it seems more of an arrangement than a remix since I butchered the harmony a bit (a lot) to my liking :3 Again, first "real" attempt at dub-step, I know it could use a butt-load of improvement.
