San Francisco Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi introduces a resolution supporting community radio station KUSF which was sold without community input by the Stephen A. Privett administration of the University of San Francisco for $3.8 million in a corporate radio grab. KUSF is off the airwaves largely because Entercom Corp. purchased its third station in San Francisco to repeat its San Jose classic rock station KUFX. In doing so, Entercom was displacing the only classical station in San Francisco, KDFC. Entercom sold KDFC to USC-controlled CPRN, which then purchased KUSF's 90.3 through broker Patrick Communications.
