Amesoeurs - Au Crépuscule de Nos Rêves (With Translated Lyrics)

Another great song from the one and only album with Amesoeurs! Don't forget to buy the album! They die painfully to the ground, one after another, my trampled dreams. Hope betrayed me and I remain there, hallucinating... a look of renunciation upon my face. I took your evil, let it tarnish me, devouring my innocence a little bit more. More surprises now -- none, and time escapes without change. I make a fist -- I want to scream, to break the ice inside me that stagnates, deadens me and prevents me from feeling So many colorless days What's left? You were everything to me. Promises not kept, my murderous memories.

That is, if someone forgets to feed Rumia, do your job, Sakuya, or maybe it's China's job? I don't really know how human meat tastes like, and I'd like to never know, thank you. Although Rumia seems to enjoy eating humans, maybe we are tasty? Don't look at me that way! I'm just saying -_-; I'm sure you've tasted the metallic taste of blood before, right? Anyways, I was going to feature Rumia's boss theme, but, well the most tear-inducing one (*cough*TAM*cough*) has already been uploaded, I have some orchestra arranges of that theme, but for now, Rumia's stage theme hasn't had a spot on this playlist yet, so heck let's give it one since it's pretty catchy, I caught myself unconsciously whistling this theme sometimes, without actually realizing what it was. Although, as far as "evil" themes go, I'd say her boss theme is more on the evil side. Well, I actually considered putting up UI-70, since that arrange is, like... 3/4 piano and 1/4 metal? And it's a pretty "dark" arrange. But, since I love Masami (not that I dislike UI-70, but hey, Masami is MASAMI) and well, UI-70 is more Chaos' territory, so I decided on O-Life. CREPUSCULE Trailer

A dark city in worrying black-and-white. An unreliable middle-aged man. And above all a subtle blonde girl who looks shy yet knows no shame. Join her looking in the mirror. Crepuscule is a nice old word for twilight. Or perhaps even a little more than twilight; the time when dusk fades into night. This would be why the film is in black-and-white, because only black-and-white seems to have access to that which precedes darkness. In the film, darkness descends on a young woman. Or better put: a girl. A silent, limber and beautiful girl. We are allowed to see her. All of her, while she explores her body in a mirror. Bravely played by Nellie Benner in a ground-breaking performance. She enters the city and the film closed and introverted. The film captures the girl from up close. Alone with the camera, the girl has no shame. She exposes herself. She dances. Strips, really. She has a job at a gas station and none of her colleagues seem to consider her special. She keeps silent. All the same, an older man, whom cities just seem to be full of, does notice her. Effortlessly, actor Titus Muizelaar puts across this mans sinister traits. He does not need words, either. The twilight eventually turns darker, the appealing jazzy music more ominous and the city more disquieting. The girl plays with a gun and then we have obviously ended up with Godard, but that is where the film had wanted to be from the start. To be cinema, primarily. John B. McEwen: 'Crépuscule du soir mystique' from 'Vignettes from la Cote d'Argent'

Sir John Blackwood McEwen (1868-1948) was one of the most significant Scottish composers of the first half of the 20th century, and for 22 years, principal of the Royal Academy of Music in London. This set of pieces was written while on holiday in Cap Ferrat, France in 1913 (although not published until 1918). Although not attributed in the score, the piece draws on a poem with the same title - which can be crudely translated as 'Dusk on a mystic evening' - by the French Symbolist poet Paul Verlaine: Le Souvenir avec le Crépuscule Rougeoie et tremble à l'ardent horizon De l'Espérance en flamme qui recule Et s'agrandit ainsi qu'une cloison Mystérieuse où mainte floraison -Dahlia, lys, tulipe et renoncule- S'élance autour d'un treillis, et circule Parmi la maladive exhalaisons De parfums lourds et chauds, dont le poison -Dahlia, lys, tulipe et renoncule- Noyant mes sens, mon âme et ma raison Mêle, dans une immense pâmoison, Le Souvenir avec le Crépuscule. This poem was set as a song by Sorabji a few years after McEwen wrote his piece. For more information on the works, and on McEwen's other piano works (and details of a commercial recording by Murray McLachlan - which includes the immensely difficult final piece of the 'Vignettes' - a depiction of a motor boat) see: www.musicweb-international.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Played by Phillip Sear www.psear.co.uk

Hans Zimmer - Budget Meeting

Budget Meeting is an extract of the King Arthur's OST, and give an incredible dimension to the word epic. And once more video is it there only to make share the music, therefore not useless assembly this time, only the picture of Gustave Doré (three judges of the hell) which sticks rather well to the music in question ;)

Aditya Chander - Crépuscule en Hiver - for Alto Flute and Scordatura String Trio

I wrote this piece in August 2011 as part of the Sound and Music Summer School, a composition course at the Purcell School, a specialist music school in Watford, UK. This is the fourth time I have been fortunate enough to be accepted onto this course! This year I decided to experiment with the possibilities of retuning stringed instruments. The violin, viola and cello in this composition have each string tuned down by a tone, and this gives the instruments a very different character and sound quality, one that I wanted to reflect in this rather single-minded composition. The tone of the alto flute is wispy and less defined than the standard concert flute, and I used it to complement the sound of the scordatura strings. The title "Crépuscule en Hiver" means "Twilight in winter". When writing this piece, I pictured a deathly cold winter twilight in the British countryside with a whistling wind blowing over the land. The music is based on the idea of suspensions, starting out at a middle C and moving gradually outwards, climaxing twice, before coming to a close as it started on a middle C. This reflects the shape of the main melody of this piece, which has a "double-arch" shape. In this way, the melody is like a microcosm of the entire piece. The alto flute is the first to quote the melody, and the strings follow later, playing the melody in canon with each other and with the flute, to provide a climax to the piece. The dissonances become more pronounced in the middle of the <b>...</b>

Sergei Lyapunov : Chant du crépuscule, Op. 22

The Russian pianist and composer Sergei Mikhailovich Lyapunov (1859-1924) is best-known for his set of 12 transcendental studies, dedicated to the memory of Liszt. He was an associate of Balakirev at the end of the 19th century, and Balakirev was a strong influence in his music - particularly the Caucasian-tinged thematic material. This piece - 'Twilight Song' - was written in 1904, and is stylistically very close to Balakirev . It comes across as a sort of Central Asian barcarolle. My apologies for the very slight glitch in the recording at 1' 56" - which can be blamed on the difficulty of dealing with the page turn in a lengthy seamless passage! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Played by Phillip Sear www.psear.co.uk

Amesoeurs - Au Crépuscule de Nos Rêves

Transitions between clean and distorted is very hard without a foot pedal, I did my best using volume knobs/bridge/neck pickups, but the clean tone is still very shitty. The guitars are densely layered in this song, I just played all of it into a single main melody, some of the chords I added the bass notes into. Opera:Twilight of Gods, Part I, The Ring of Nibelung, Wagner

On the Valkyries' rock, three Norns spin the rope of Fate, recalling Wotan's days of power and predicting the end of the Gods. When the rope breaks they descend in terror to their mother, Erda, goddess of the earth. At dawn Siegfried and his bride, Brünnhilde, emerge from their cave ("Zu neuen Taten"). Though fearful that she may lose the hero, she sends him forth to deeds of valor. As a token of his love, Siegfried gives Brünnhilde the magic Ring he took from Fafner, and she gives him her horse Grane in exchange. Passionately they bid farewell as Siegfried sets off into the world (Rhine Journey). In their castle on the Rhine, Gunther, Lord of the Gibichungs, and his sister Gutrune, both unwed, ask counsel of their half-brother, Hagen. Plotting to secure the Ring, Hagen advises Gunther to marry Brünnhilde: by means of a magic potion Siegfried can be induced to forget his bride and win her for Gunther in return for Gutrune's hand. The hero's horn announces his approach. Gunther welcomes him, and Gutrune offers him the potion. Remembering Brünnhilde, he drinks and forgets all, quickly succumbing to Gutrune's beauty and agreeing to bring Brünnhilde to Gunther. The two men swear an oath of blood brotherhood ("Blühenden Lebens"), and then depart. Hagen, left to keep watch, broods on his plot's success ("Hier sitz ich zur Wacht"). On the Valkyries' rock, Brünnhilde greets her sister Waltraute, who says Wotan has warned the gods their doom is sealed unless Brünnhilde yields the <b>...</b>

Dusk falls as Siegfried returns transformed by the Tarnhelm into Gunther's form. He tears the Ring from the terrified Brünnhilde's finger and claims her as Gunther's Bride. At night, before the Gibichung hall, Hagen dreams of his father, the Nibelung Alberich, who forces him to swear he will regain the Ring ("Schläfst du, Hagen?"). As dawn breaks, Siegfried returns with cheerful greetings for Hagen and Gutrune: he has won Brünnhilde for Gunther. Hagen summons the vassals to welcome the king and his bride ("Hoiho, Hoiho!"). Treachery! When Gunther leads in Brünnhilde, she is startled at seeing Siegfried; observing the Ring on his finger, she decries his treachery and proclaims Siegfried her true husband ("Heilige Götter!"). Still under the potion's spell, the hero vows upon Hagen's spear that he has never wronged her ("Helle Wehr! Heilige Waffe!"). Brünnhilde swears he lies, but Siegfried dismisses her charge and leaves with Gutrune. The dazed Brünnhilde, bent on revenge ("Welches Unhold's List"), reveals to Hagen the hero's one vulnerable spot: a spear in the back will kill him. Taunted by Brünnhilde and lured by Hagen's description of the Ring's power, Gunther joins the murder plot. The couples proceed to the wedding feast. On the bank of the Rhine the three Rhinemaidens bewail their lost treasure ("Frau Sonne sendet lichte Strahlen"). The couples proceed to the wedding feast. On the bank of the Rhine the three Rhinemaidens bewail their lost treasure ("Frau Sonne sendet lichte Strahlen"). Soon Siegfried approaches, separated from his hunting party. The maidens plead for the Ring, but he ignores both their entreaties and warnings. When the hunters arrive, Siegfried at Hagen's urging describes his boyhood with Mime (his Nibelung foster father), his slaying of the dragon Fafner and finally - after Hagen gives him a potion to restore his memory - his wooing of Brünnhilde ("Mime hiess ein mürrischer Zwerg"). Pretending indignation, Hagen plunges a spear into the hero's back. Remembering Brünnhilde with his last breath, Siegfried dies and is borne off (Funeral Music). At the Gibichung hall, Gutrune nervously awaits her bridegroom's return. Hagen tells her Siegfried has been killed by a wild boar, but when his body is carried in she accuses Gunther of murder. Hagen admits the crime ("Ja denn! Ich hab'ihn erschlagen"). Quarreling over the Ring, Gunther is killed by Hagen, who falls back in fear when the dead Siegfried raises his hand. Brünnhilde, entering, orders a funeral pyre for Siegfried ("Starke Scheite"). She condemns the gods for their guilt in his death, takes the Ring, and promises it to the Rhinemaidens. Placing it on her finger, she throws a torch onto the pyre and joyfully rushes into the flames.
