The BGM-109 Tomahawk is a submarine or ship-launched cruise missile. After launch, a solid propellant burns for 12 seconds clearing the launch area. The missile then deploys fins and small wings and engages a small turbofan engine takes over for the cruise portion of flight. Radar detection is difficult because of the missile's small radar and visual cross-section, low altitude flight, small heat signature and high speed (650mph).

The AGM-158A is powered by a Teledyne CAE J402 turbojet. Whilst carried the wings are folded to reduce size, flipping out on launch. There is a single vertical tail. Guidance is via inertial navigation with updating from a global positioning system. Target recognition and terminal homing is via an imaging infrared seeker. A data link allows the missile to transmit its location and status during flight, allowing improved bomb damage assessment. Accuracy is extremely good, with a CEP reported at 2.4 metres (8 feet). The warhead is a WDU-42/B 450 kg (1000 lb)penetrator. An upgraded version, the JASSM-ER has a new Williams F107-WR-105 turbofan engine for significantly increased range of up to 1000 km (600 miles). The JASSM-ER was officially designated as AGM-158B in mid-2002, and the USAF awarded an SDD (System Development and Demonstration) contract for the AGM-158B in February 2004.

The Kh-90 (NATO: AS-19 Koala /SS-N-24 SCORPION / Kh-90 Meteorit-M/SSC-X-5 GLCM (DoD)) was Soviet cruise missile which was supposed to replace subsonic intermediate range missiles in Soviet inventory. The missile was an ambitious project since the target was to ultimately develop it into hypersonic missile. However the entire program was canceled as a result of the INF treaty with the United States. The Meteorit-M strategic version would be deployed from 667M submarines with 12 launchers per boat. The air-launched Meteorit-A would be launched from Tu-95 bombers. The land-based version was designated Meteorit-N. The missile was also sometimes referred to by the code-name Grom. The first test launch, on 20 May 1980, was unsuccessful, as were the next three attempts. The first successful flight did not come until 16 December 1981. The first launch from a 667M submarine took place on 26 December 1983 from the Barents Sea. However all variants were canceled in 1988 as a result of the INF Treaty. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad unveiled a short range marine missile and a torpedo system on Tuesday as Iran marked its annual "Defence Industry Day," state media reported. "Qader (Able) missile, built by the capable hands of Iranian experts, is a marine cruise missile with a 200 kilometre (120 mile) range, possessing high destructive ability which can be used against coastal targets and warships," the state television website reported. It also incorporates the modern cruise missile technology of Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) and Digital Scene Matching & Area Co-relation (DSMAC). I will attempt to show some discrepancies . i say its a fact that the pentagon has a anti-missile system,this is disputed ,but then again i doubt if the pentagon will confirm that the complex has special security measures.
