Drive a variety of cars in this arcade style racer like a Ferrari or Corvette Stingray styled racer. The most memorable feature of this game is the music which is.... AWESOME. Mixing porn music with moans and bad techno is a winning combination for this game on the N64. If you're looking for N64 reviews and an N64 reviewer Classic Game Room is the place to be at to be wit' da homies watchin da' reviewz 'bout Cruis'n USA. Drive like a maniac across the United States in the cross-country style truck stop, bowling alley arcade racing game. Girls dance in mini skirts, undress you with their eyes and promise lap dances if you win. Watch footage of girls shakin it with an awesome fake trophy in their hands. CRUZIN. Heck yeah. Classic Game Room is funkier than a plastic tub full of fried chicken an onions. Repeat, this game has awesome music, or by awesome we mean awful music, the worst video game music ever made, which makes it RADICAL AWESOME to the Maxx!

Crusin USA, this is a game that I used to play often at arcades, but I got a chance to know the game better through one of my Cousins who owns this game. Crusin USA, its a great arcade classic, its actually pretty fun and the music is great, I always enjoy singing along to the music ^_^ as the name suggests, Crusin USA takes you to certain landmarks around the USA states. not a long game, but definitely enjoyable. it does suffer from a few drawbacks though, you must get 1st place in each race in order to advanced to the next race track in crusin mode, and once you jump out of easy (or even perhaps intermediate mode) then welcome to hell mode... The Lead car goes just as fast as you do, and should you wreck, your only hope is for the lead car to get into a wreck as well, or you might as well restart the race.. over and over and over... all in all, good racing game, and fun with friends. another good one by Midway

Cruis'n USA -- Chicago WR? 1:17.80
As of 7/14/08, I believe this is the world record for Chicago on Cruis'n USA for the N64. What I don't get is how the other time ended in a 1 (usually they end in 0, 3 or 7) so the guy may round up or down, I'm not sure. I'm fairly certain this is a WR though. This was recorded on an ACTUAL Nintendo 64 console, not on an emulator or the Wii VC version. The split times were really funky because I had completed a somewhat impossible run without the traffic, long story short, game rounded the numbers weirdly. But this run is actually 100% legit. And what you'll realize about this run is how generous the game was with the traffic during the elevated rail. Two guys got stuck behind the poles. Even if they moved out in the middle of the road and I swerved and avoided them, it could've cost me the record. I mean, the tunnel is actually quite predictable (but difficult, nonetheless) but the elevated rail--everything bad that can happen WILL HAPPEN during this part of the track, and I can tell you stories about it too. My God, I played this level for like 15 hours nonstop and it led to a total breakdown of my body and emotions as I failed again and again and churned out numerous .83's and countless .90's. But I did it. I promised that I would quit within five minutes and go to bed but instead I finished with .80, beat the existing world record by ONE HUNDREDTHS OF A SECOND (which is .01 second) and I got it all on tape too. Thank you God.

Let's Play Cruis'n USA #1 - Cruise Control
Hello everyone and welcome to my Let's Play of Cruis'n USA. This classic arcade game has you compete in street races across the USA for no particular reason. While there are not any items or other things to influence the race, other cars and course hazards can definitely pose a problem. I will be playing the Nintendo 64 port of this game and will not be unlocking all of the faster cars and some alternate vehicles. The faster cars are simply color edits of the default cars and the alternate vehicles are sort of joke cars (ie a school bus, a police car, etc). Enjoy this let's play! In this video, I have an urge to cruise the USA. Starting at the Golden Gate Bridge, I want to do as much site-seeing as possible but still get across the country efficiently. I guess I will have to cut through San Francisco and the Redwood Forest to do so. But what are these other racers on the street? How dare they get in my way! Cruis'n USA -- How Could a Course in Iowa Be So Hard
1:20.07 with the Purple Corvette. I'm back to Cruisn' USA videos! Of course, I think that Iowa is one of the harder tracks in the game because, on about half the runs, the left and right hand traffic will converge at the same time, so you either have to thread the needle and pray you can make it through or drive off-road and lose a lot of speed. Also, the texture for the off-road portion of the track is really weird. You can look like you're driving on pavement but you're really offroad so you slow down a little. Anyway, that's why I dislike this course.

Cruis'n USA -- Redwood Forest is the Coolest
1:21.63 with the purple Corvette. Man, this level is only slightly easier than Chicago. The thing is the other drivers get in the way and if you find yourself behind early, you'll be playing bumper cars with them the whole way. Not to mention it's way too easy to rub against the side of the road and lose speed; even worse, you fly off the track. Those two corkscrews at the end of the forest are really tough and almost impossible to get through flawessly. Well, the rest is pretty easy sailing. OMG--A DRUNK DRIVER!! SIKE!!!

Cruis'n USA -- San Francisco Rush
1:19.87 with the purple Corvette. Well, it's kind of like San Francisco Rush but 10x stupider. This track is pretty hard for the same reason as Redwood Forest--the other drivers bump you around and the track is narrow. But it doesn't seem as hard as Redwood Forest. Watch out for the traffic coming over the hills; expect to thread the needle a few times if you have to. Hey look it's Raven Simone's house from That's So Raven!!!!!!!!!! Also, dear vg-reviews.com, who was kind enough to link to this video in particular and grant me with 4000 additional hits. Your review is absolutely asinine. This game is still fun to play and if you forgive the crappy "I got tapped by a car, I spun out and wasted 10 seconds" factor, it's miles ahead of most games of its ilk in terms of originality. Buy the game, you morons.

I was bored so I decided to record some random gameplay of Cruis'n USA for the Nintendo 64 on the Virtual Console. =P Notice that my car runs out of control most of the time, but that's the result of the loose analog stick on my controller. Being bad like that it can be really hard to control the car or whatever other game I play with it. Sorry about that. D: Well, enjoy! PS: Sorry for the loud sound. After a rather strange introduction, this video starts out with the last of the southwestern United States...until we make a huge jump to the upper midwest. How the game manages to pull this off, I don't know, but I guess that's video game logic for you. We will also get stuck in the tunnels of Chicago and the backroads of the country. Sounds like a fun time, doesn't it? 1:04.80!!!!!! So after doing the Corvette run, I try it with the Devastator and end up finishing .13 seconds better!! I suppose little things could be improved but most of it's due to the crappy traffic/opponent position as well as the worn-out N64 joystick. You seriously couldn't ask for a run better than this. I'm very happy with it.

Cruis'n USA is one of the racing games that I had the most fun with back in the mid-90's. The arcade was awesome and even though the N64 version wasn't quite as good as the arcade, I really liked this version as well. Still, I would like to get my hands on the arcade machine, that kicked massive amounts of ass!

1:05.57 with the Purple Corvette. This is the final course in the game. You can't select it normally in the menu, you have to play through the Cruise the USA mode and then you only get to play it until you come in first and then it's over. So we're gonna cheat and use a gameshark to play this track an infinite amount of times. Rant coming up ahead. This track is really short. It's the shortest track in the game. But it has the two most evil bastard turns in the game. You have to veer right then turn HARD left. You have to be a master to do this turn perfectly every time, and that's not taking the idiotic AI into consideration. If you don't know what turn it is--trust me, you'll see it in the video. I mess up a little on the first turn but not badly so it's okay. The second turn I just got really, really, really, really, really, really lucky. First, you have to have a good approach. If you're not too much to the right of the road when you veer left, you can't make it period. Like Gran Turismo, if you don't take the right driving line, you'll blow it. It's a balancing act. Stay too much to the right side of the road and you'll won't position yourself for the hard left in time or worse, you'll hit the grass. Stay to the left and you'll hit the curb every time. Basically, you want to be on the left lane until the road takes a hard right, then you veer to the right lane, then pull the car hard left through the apex of the turn. Improvised Review: Cruis'n USA for Nintendo 64
This time I'm showing a (imo) classic N64 racing game: Cruis'n USA! Originally an arcade title which promoted the Nintendo "Ultra 64". It got ported to the Nintendo 64 later on. When it was released many magazines complained about practically everything (over here). This game does not feature amazing graphics, music or gameplay. It still has it's charme though.
