The legendary first release by the mysterious revolving membership band called Cush. This album caused quite a buzz in 2000, especially due to the Cush Manifesto that was accidentally circulated at Cornerstone 2000. This manifesto, reprinted below, best describes their sound. In a declaration of Truth and its winding road, members of the Prayer Chain, LSU, Honey, Fold Zandura, Duraluxe, Bloomsday, the Lassie Foundation, and Adam Again, have agreed to document below (the CUSH Manifesto) in which all members will seek the Truth and its Consequences. Baby is only ten months old here. In the video you can see how I taught my camel to lay down with a gesture from a stick (tapping on him and then eventually just the ground) and vocal command. I also taught him to stand up again by gesturing up and asking. No ropes, pulleys or restraints of any kind- not even a halter and lead rope were used in the learning process. Gentle tapping and pressure reminders quickly progressed into consistent compliance with absolutely no contact of any kind. This is an old video that I shot on an even older digital camera, so that's why it looks the way it does. I uploaded this more for nostalgia than anything, but it may benefit someone who wants to learn how to train their camel to cush. Baby progressed farther from this to cushing on vocal command (no gestures) not long after this video was shot. I decided to revert to a 4 spring pressure plate fitted with (the three spring type) cups and springs. The clutch is quite heavy now but with a bit of luck it shouldn't slip. How to replace the cush drive on a Kawasaki Ninja
A cush drive is a part of a motorcycle drive-train that is designed to reduce stress from engine torque damaging other components during gear or throttle changes. A common design used by almost all street motorcycles, it has three major pieces: the wheel, the sprocket assembly, and the rubber damper. The wheel and the sprocket assembly fit together with five sections much like two hands woven together. In between the contact of the two assembly are rubber blocks. This makes it so the wheel and the sprocket have a dampening layer between them, and the rubber blocks reduce wear and fatigue of the metal assemblies. When the rubber damper becomes old and hardens, or wears out, the changes in load on the drive chain instigated by changes in throttle position or changing gear can cause small inconsistencies with power delivery to the wheel. Loads particularly on the drive chain can be massively increased in these conditions, increasing the risk of breakage or of contact with the swinging arm resulting in damage. Perhaps more pointedly the sudden transfer of force to the rear tyre can cause momentary loss of traction (lock or spin) resulting in small changes of direction or at worst total loss of control.
