Cusco (also spelled Cuzco, and in the local Quechua language as Qusqu IPA: [ˈqos.qo]) is a city in southeastern Peru, near the Urubamba Valley (Sacred Valley) of the Andes mountain range. English: Cuzco's (/Cusco's) Airport in Perú is one of the most dangerous airports in the world. The runway is at 10800f above MSL and surrounded by mountains at 17000f. Most of the time its 30°C hot which lowers the air density as well- a real problem for the pilots, because they have to increase their approach speed then. Another difficulty is the sloped runway, which requires- again- higher landing speed. The visual approach along the mountains as well as the point between the mountains where the Airbus starts to drop itsself to start the final approach. In this video I used first time ***real sounds*** and the camera "EZDok" so there is a lot to improve, I think. I flew the typical cuzco approach with an A320. La construcción en sí es peculiar, ya que algunas de las piedras que se encuentran ahí son gigantes y hacen que uno se pregunte cómo es que las lograron transportar. Las piedras fueron encajadas con una precisión casi inimaginable. Resulta inexplicable descifrar cómo los incas pudieron cortar las piedras con tal maestría que no entra ni siquiera la lámina de un cuchillo entre dos piedras. El complejo también consta de una especie de toboganes grandes de piedra por donde el visitante se puede deslizar. Una garra de puma hecha de piedras. Una llama hecha de piedras. Este sitio desempeñó un importante rol en las actividades rituales incaicas. Se piensa que correspondió a una fortaleza militar, en donde se entrenaba a los guerreros. Hay dudas al respecto, ya que, de acuerdo a su arquitectura, podría haber tenido un fin religioso y haber sido construido como un gran templo al Dios Sol. Sin embargo, durante la época de la conquista, mostró su eficacia como fortaleza para defender la ciudad.
