Paradise By The Dashboard Light - Meat Loaf
Groovy! "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" is a song written by Jim Steinman. It was first released in 1977 on the album Bat Out of Hell, with vocals by the American musician Meat Loaf alongside Ellen Foley. It most notable for its unique structure and length, and has become a classic rock radio staple. "Paradise" This three-part epic opens with part one "Paradise," characters portrayed by Ellen Foley and Meat Loaf are reminiscing about days as a young high school couple on a date. Everything is well, and they are getting along just fine. However, as the song progresses, it's clear that the boy has a bit more on his mind than just holding his girlfriend. He continues to push the matter, and makes some progress, mirrored by New York Yankees announcer Phil Rizzuto broadcasting a portion of a baseball game that serves as a metaphor at his attempts to "steal home base". Things are looking up, and it appears the boy is going to 'score' when suddenly Foley's character bursts to life telling him to "Stop right there!" Rizzuto's baseball play-by-play call was recorded in 1976 at The Hit Factory in NYC by Rundgren, Meat Loaf and Steinman. As an Italian Catholic, Rizzuto publicly maintained he was unaware that his contribution would be equated with sex in the finished song. However, Meat Loaf asserts that Rizzuto only claimed ignorance to stifle some criticism from a priest and was fully aware of the context of what he was recording. What if iPhone had... Dashboard Widgets
In this concept we look at how widgets could make their way to the iPhone. Today, you bounce in and out of applications. We wanted to explore if a widget layer in the form of Dashboard perhaps could speed up the workflow, at least for simple tasks. For you to easier follow the demonstration we added a voiceover this time around. Thoughts not covered in the movie: The triple pinch gesture can be invoked from anywhere on the iPhone. We feel this gesture is unique enough to be used as a systemwide shortcut. Although, since the gesture requires a two-handed action, we thought it would be convenient to be able to set it as a home button shortcut as well. This would be changed in the Setting - General - Home. Dashboard could even be activated on the lock screen using the same gesture. However, if you have a password protected phone, this feature would be disabled to prevent unauthorized access. Widgets should be connected to their app counter part. So a widget such as stickies should be connected to the Notes app. If you make sticky note, it would be visible in the Notes app as well. In the case of the a widget where you need to enter text, the keyboard would slide up and the widget would be positioned above it. The default setup of widgets could be the following: Calculator, Calendar, Clock, Converter, iTunes, Stickies, Stocks, Timer, Weather and Web Clip. In addition to that you would be able to download third party widgets from the App Store. The Quick Settings widget in the <b>...</b>

Walter Yetnikov and all the music exec's getting them fully on board. They literally were standing on their tables screaming and cheering for us! Rock and roll exec., Steve Popovich who had his own Cleveland International Records Label under CBS was the only one clanging the BAT bell up until then -- one exec at Epic literally pulled it out of Steve's hands and threw the BOOH album in the east river before seeing our live performances!!!
