This video of the chase was recorded by a camera mounted on the dashboard of St. Robert police officer Trenton Herr. At 2:45, Willcoxson begins firing at the officer while being pursued on Interstate 44. At 14:25, Willcoxson exits off I-44 into the city of Rolla. At 18:47, Willcoxson arrives on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus, exits the car and enters McNutt Hall. He was captured later that afternoon south of Rolla.

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Dash cam video released Thursday from a stolen Summerville, South Carolina police cruiser shows a suspect fighting a police officer then crashing the stolen car into a landscaping truck at a high rate of speed. According to police, the incident started last Friday when 38-year-old Arthur Lee Thompson attempted to steal a computer from a Summerville Wal-mart. When confronted, Thompson allegedly punched the store's loss prevention officer in the mouth. Authorities then put out an alert for Thompson's green Jeep. Officers were able to spot the vehicle and made a traffic stop on Cedar Street near 9th Avenue. Dash cam video from the stolen police cruiser shows Thompson exiting his Jeep, disobeying the officer's commands and then attacking an officer. According to the incident report, the officer tased the suspect twice, first when Thompson started fighting him and again once he was in the police cruiser, attempting to steal it. Thompson wasn't affected by the taser and video shows him pulling out the stun-gun barbs and then continuing to fight with the officer. Thompson then drove off in the stolen car at speeds of over 100 mph. The dash cam video shows Thompson weaving in and out of traffic, running through several red lights and making erratic maneuvers. Tools used: Kodak ZX5 Camcorder, mostly with a wide angle lens @ 1080p, a Sunpak Platinum Plus Click 'n Stick suction cup camera mount, Bracketron GPS dashboard pad (non-adhesive). Also, Sony Vegas Home Studio 9 Platinum, and a lot of patience (I'm about 20% of where I want to be where video editing is concerned). I used Arcsoft's watered down (for Kodak) MediaImpression to create the clips from the raw MP4 files. It is the only thing I have that does this losslessly. The song is "The End is Nigh" by David Leung Haslam ( www.rattic.co.uk ), and it was the main menu theme for the UT2004 mod, Killing Floor. He was gracious enough to give me permission to use this song, which has been one of my favorites for a very long time. Philosophy behind this video I originally planned on typing up a bunch of insightful stuff, but it can mostly be summed up to: Driving is dangerous, so pay attention to what the hell you're doing, and how your actions affect others on the road. HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- A city of Miami police officer was caught driving 120 mph and a Florida Highway Patrol trooper followed him for several minutes before issuing him a ticket, said FHP. Fausto Lopez, 35, was charged with reckless driving. According to the police report, Lopez was driving at a high rate of speed in a marked police car southbound on the Florida Turnpike near mile marker 62 at 6:28 am on Oct. 11 when a FHP trooper saw him crossing over several lanes. That FHP trooper followed him and tried pulling him over, but he first ignored her sirens, according to the report. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers have arrested the man who struck a canine unit deputy's cruiser head-on with his SUV in south Oklahoma City Sunday morning. The accident happened in the 2200 block of SW 29th about 6:30 pm Saturday. According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, troopers have arrested and booked the SUV driver, 21-year-old Francisco Noriega-Perales. The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office reported the SUV driven by Perales was eastbound in the westbound lanes when it collided with the deputy's cruiser. EMSA responded to the scene and treated both drivers. Neither driver was transported to the hospital. A witness said the SUV's driver was administered a field sobriety test by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper after he was treated by EMSA. The driver was later seen to be handcuffed. Perales is currently being held at the Oklahoma County Detention Center on complaints of driving under the influence, driving left side of road/no passing, and not wearing a seat belt. Everyone involved in the crash has been medically cleared and will be okay, including K-9 Deputy "Boze", the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

TV daredevil and Jackass star Ryan Dunn was killed in a horrific high-speed car crash last night. The 34-year-old died when his sports car flew off the road around 2.30am while he was driving to his home in West Goshen, Pennsylvania, following a night out in a bar with friends. Police said they found the burning wreckage of his 2007 Porsche 911 GT3, which was capable of reaching 190mph, in the woods off the road fully engulfed in flames. A 20-year-old Lansing Community College student who worked at Michigan State University died after he drove his motorcycle into the back of a police cruiser at more than 100 mph early Tuesday, police said. Carl A. Stamm IV, of East Lansing, was driving a blue 2001 Yamaha YZF600R when he crashed at 4:20 am during a police chase on Interstate 96 in Livingston County. Livingston County Sheriff Bob Bezotte said two deputies tried to pull over Stamm after spotting him on westbound I-96 near Mason Road. The Beeville Police Department has released video of an officer involved shooting that resulted in the death of 28-year-old Anthony Albert Ponce on May 31, 2011. The police officer had pulled Ponce over in the Beeville Walmart parking lot while checking out a reported robbery at a nearby convenience store. Dashcam video requested by the Beeville Bee-Picayune shows Ponce open his car door and walk up to Sgt. Chris Vasquez with a gun in his hand a cigarette in his mouth. Sgt. Vasquez backed up as he ordered Ponce to drop the weapon. What happened next is out of view of the camera, but you hear three shots fired, and the officer calls for an ambulance. Police say Ponce pointed his weapon at the officer before the shooting. The officer is said to have performed CPR in an attempt to save Ponce's life before paramedics arrived. He later died at Christus Spohn Hospital in Beeville. According to public records, Ponce has a lengthy criminal history that sheds some light on why he may have been so aggressive. In the last six years, Ponce was convicted twice of assault on a public servant, once in Bexar County and once in Harris County. He's also been convicted three times for DWI. Beeville Police Chief Joe Trevino says that officer took the necessary action in this dangerous situation, but says this is a tragic event for everyone at the department. A grand jury cleared Sgt. Vasquez of any charges in the shooting just two days after the incident.
