2 instruments from spain and switzerland with similar tonality meet for the first time in france. david charrier and michael colley improvise on top of a mountain for the love of it. the hang and bells were made 5 years apart and are slightly out of tune with each other but it was a great experience anyway :)

Uno de los sonidos que encontré deambulando por el Parque Güell en Barcelona. Es el Hang, un instrumento musical de percusión creado en los laboratorios pertenecientes a la compañía PANArt, por Felix Rohner y Sabina Schärer en un cantón de Suiza en el año 2000. Hang significa mano en idioma Bernés. Fue el resultado de 25 años de investigación científica con acero y otros instrumentos de percusión resonante por todo el mundo, como el Gong, el Gamelan, el Ghatam, etc. El instrumento se compone de dos hemisferios de metal soldados y los lados se llaman Ding y Gu. El lado Ding contiene 8 tonos musicales en forma de círculos que rodean a un circulo central mayor (el llamado Ding) y que tiene un sonido muy parecido al Gong. El otro lado, el lado Gu, tiene un agujero para la resonancia del sonido que se genera dentro. Es un instrumento muy portátil a pesar de su aparente volumen (Wikipedia).
