Car: Aston Martin DB9. I recommend watching in high quality. Everything you see in this video is made by me, except for the ragdoll (the guy sitting in the car), because I didn't feel to... I did however think about putting a helmet on him, but I think he would have got serious brain injuries anyway... The car has been developed throughout the making of this film. That is the reason for example why, in some clips, the windscreen breaks and in other clips it doesn't. It's also the reason why some parts brake too easy sometimes. The following might be considered gibberish, and you might therefore not want to read it. This car has been modeled in Rhinoceros. It was then exported to 3d studio, where it was textured and then made "simulatable". It was then simulated with reactor, which is a plug-in in 3d studio. There are some 2100 parts in this car. There is an entirely different simulation-model behind the movement of this car. The simulation-model is invisible, and the visible model of the car is then linked to the simulation-model. The simulation-model is made up of 420 parts and 640 constraints, constraining the parts to each other. To make a crash scene the car was then given an initial speed, and some obstacles were placed in its way. After this to scene was simulated, a process which took about 20sec / frame. This video has a frame rate of 30 frames / sec, so that means a 3-4 second long clip took about 40 minutes to simulate. The simulation is done by the computer and <b>...</b>

Diamondback's new DB9 is light, slim and compact weighing in at 12.8 ounces. It can be shot surpisingly accurate for its' size. The double action only trigger is smooth and short for this type of firearm. It has a six round single stack magazine for a total of seven 9mm rounds with one in the chamber. However, the DB9 is not without issues. The assembly pin continues to come out and FTF, FTE and Stove Pipes are plentiful.

Under the brights lights in Geneva, Aston Martin revealed the Virage - a "new" 2+2 model which sits between the DB9 and DBS models in the Aston Martin lineup. With the mildly facelifted DB9 launched last summer, the Virage has us scratching our heads as we contemplate why Aston is passing the Virage off as a new model. Same kind of confusion also ensued when spy photographers previously caught it doing rounds at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. We didn't know know to make of it. Regardless of how you slice and dice it, the vehicle is a DB9 with a new more assertive look. On the outside of the Virage, which if you're into anagrams also spells Viagre, you'll notice a One-77 inspired aluminum front grille, new front bumper fascia, new fender side strakes with built-in LED repeater lamps, side skirts and rear diffuser. The Virage uses the same front mid-mounted 6.0 liter V12 producing 490 bhp (365 kW/497 PS) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. The power plant is mated to a six-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission through a carbon fiber prop shaft and the gearbox is mounted transversely on the axle for 50:50 total weight distribution. 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) clocks in at 4.6 seconds and top speed is 299 km/h (186 mph). It was obviously designed for concealed carry and as a back up gun. It is DAO, striker fired and has a polymer frame. I picked up a Diamondback DB9 to test and was impressed by the way it handled. It was 100% reliable on the range and fits very well into a pocket holster for concealed carry. All of the photos in the video were taken of the actual review gun - they are not publicity shots from the company. Although I had reservations about this gun prior to shooting it, I discovered it is a credible choice for many people. There are a couple of small issues that you need to be aware of should you decide to purchase the DB9. I cover those in the full gun review.
