CS:S - dxlevel test on de_nuke with HD 4850
For all ATI user playing CS:S and having problems to look through the window lights from the roof on de_nuke. To change your dxlevel default 95 to 81/80 use the launch option "-dxlevel 81". After one start you should delete it because it's already saved into you registry and a start with "-dxlevel" option will result in an graphic settings reset. That's nasty. You can check your actually used dxlevel ingame with Options → Video → Advanced → "Hardware DirectX level". You've already seen that you'are more flashed in dxlevel 81/80 as in dxlevel 95/90. That's a reason to keep your dxlevel on 95 excepting you like to rock catwalkers. For smokes I can't see any exceptional advantages you'll get changing your dxlevel. This test is only for ATI user with a HD 2000+ and not transferable to NVidia but I would be happy if anyone could make a video like mine with a NVidia card.

Hey guys This is a project I did quite a while ago now and was suppose to finish, but had way too much work and going out and stuff (a real life you know :D) so couldn't finish this work. It was a HUGE project that I couldn't handle myself, but was a great challenge anyways, had fun for the first person view in the first part in 3ds max. Got a few ideas from games actually and mixed them with some of my crazy ideas. Programs used: -3Ds max 2010 (best program evaaaaaa) -Cinema4D -After Effects CS5 -Premiere Pro CS5 Encoded in h.264 format 3Ds max render time: 1000 frames, divided into 5 files. Over 5gb of .png files.
