I am so delighted to be able to show you a peek of what this wonderful movie is going to look like when we finally have the chance to see it restored to its former glory. Windjammer fans have waited for this day to come for a long time now. Here is a little of the history: Since summer 2009, David Strohmaier, of "Cinerama Adventure" fame and John Sittig of Pacific Theatre in Los Angeles have spent considerable time to find the best elements of the classic CineMiracle semi-documentary and feature film "Windjammer" to be able to re-release it on DVD, Blu-ray and perhaps even in special showings at theaters, museums and other venues. "Windjammer", a travelogue about the voyage of the Norwegian school ship "Christian Radich". Filmed in CineMiracle and produced by legendary Louis de Rochemont, the film - largely unseen since it's original release - is now being prepared the first time to home theatre screens and cinemas in a digital version. At this early stage, however, no DVD distributor has been set for there is no street date for the release but hopefully sometime in late 2010. "Windjammer" was a major success during its release and was seen by millions of people all over the world. The film is vividly remembered by many who saw it, and a few of them have had the pleasure to see it projected recently in specialized cinemas during widescreen film festivals. AV Undercover - Clem Snide covers Journey
Clem Snide frontman (and only constant member) Eef Barzelay has made other artists' songs his own many times before, from Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" to Hank Williams' "Lost On The River" to The Velvet Underground's "I'll Be Your Mirror." When we told Ben Folds that Barzelay would be shooting an Undercover, he said something like, "I can listen to that guy sing anything, all day." When he chose Journey's 1983 power ballad "Faithfully" for Undercover, we were delighted. When he told us it'd be performed in solo-ukulele form, that delight was doubled. It helps that the slightly cheesy lyric is something that Barzelay can relate to--missing your family while out on the road. Here's an amazing line from Wikipedia about Journey's original video: "Steve Perry can be seen shaving his short-lived but talked-about moustache in the video." Andre Santos joined Arsenal on Wednesday and he sat down with Arsenal Player to give his reaction to the move. The Brazilian international full-back, who becomes Arsène Wenger's sixth acquisition of the summer, put pen to paper on a long-term contract after his transfer from Turkish giants Fenerbahce. After completing the deal, Santos spoke exclusively about what attracted him to Arsenal, following in the footsteps of Brazilians like Gilberto, Edu, Silvinho and Denilson, adapting to English football and more. "I am delighted to have signed for Arsenal," he said. "It was one of my dreams to play for a major European football club and I have accomplished this. I am very happy to be part of this team.
