Folding Depron Part 1
This video shows a method of folding Depron which can be useful in the construction of Depron planes. This method results in a neat appearance which strong. The video turned out to be longer than planned so I broke it in two . The plane shown in the video is made of 3mm Depron with a dry transfer applied called "Canvas Transfer" from Papilio. This method of finnishing is light and quick and repeatable.

Airbus A380 build, 99% of the structure in 3mm depron and as scale as possible. Structure is scaled down and simplified from the "Maintenance Faclilty Planning"-document "MFP" from airbus. It was initially published officially on airbus's website. The plane will be electric and with working scalelike gear-retraction, flaps, trimable horizontal stabilizer and more. folding a Depron-wing (read description)
folding a wing made of 3mm Depron: You don't need heat for this method! At the bottomside tape is applied at the folding edge to prevent the Depron from breaking. I do NOT use the ruler to press a slot into the Depron. The slot is made before using a biro sliding alongside the ruler (you must press press the biro hard into the Depron). The slot has to be at least as deep as 1/2 of the thickness of the used Material (Depron: 3mm // slot 1,5mm +). In this video I just use the ruler to give the material a defined line where it should bend, furthermore bending is easier when you press the ruler into the slot. My favorite glue for this application is Uhu Por. When the glue is applied at the ribs, the spar and the trailing edge you have to wait 10 minutes. If you don't wait long enough, the adhesion won't be strong enough. Note: The TE is sanded as you can see in this pic: www.rc-network.de If you don't sand it, the airfoil will have kind of a S-shape. Since I don't build a flying wing I don't need that S-shape. And you can reduce the thickness of the TE if you sand one side of the Depron which is helpful for good aerodynamics (lower drag)! Dear US-guys: I know you're mostly using that Blu-Core foam. I never worked with it, I only did this using Depron. So you will have to find out whether it works with Bu-Core, too. But I think it will work great...

Airbus A340 Depron RC EDF
Airbus A340 allmost all depron (with thin balsa structure in the wings) Scratchbuilt from depron using airbus MFT documentation. This video was taken before the plane was painted in the Star Alliance theme, although the Star Alliance text is already written on the side.. RC Superfly Firework Trailblazer 2
Done on private land. I made a special mount that we could attach fireworks to which hung underneath the plane. Unfortunately different fireworks meant different centre of gravity points which caused havoc with the plane's handling (see my other videos for more fireworks strapped to the Superfly).

Got a few different planes in the Episode today. Couple guys from Anarchy came out and flew at our Famous Kamikaze Park. It's really not that tight to fly in guys, couple were chicken to fly here LOL Dave doing some great harrier stuff with the Art-Tech Eurofighter, Rick doing nice low inverted with the Parkzone Corsair and CD in the mix with the MIg. Also at the beginning I try out a new Depron Bipe one of the new flyers brought out to the field. Thing flew nice, did a decent hover and harrier, very light . At the end we see Keith showing off his skills and his E-flite Pitts Python, doing knife edge circuits, low inside the park. Thank for watching, Merry Xmas from Ronin Pictures and RCFreehold inc!!
