This comes from the 1984 album, Desert Moon. Here it is in Dennis' own words, from a December 1984 interview with Rockline!: "I used to do a little speech in front of "Come Sail Away," a rap thing - and it was so well-received by people, they used to just come out after the show and if there was one thing they would mention about the show, it would be that little, motivational talk I gave on our dreams and how to accomplish them. It was so popular that I said, "Whatever I'm saying here, I should probably try to find a way to put it into words." So I tried to do that with that song."

We visited Patrick DeYoung of Blue Moon Organics in Aptos, California in Spring 2008. He became a farmer after taking some time off from the stock market to surf. In this short video, he talks about growing strawberries for maximum flavor, how he uses bugs instead of pesticides, and how he treats the soil of their rented farm land to leave it better than before.

My Sweet Lady - Cliff de Young
A television movie titled "Sunshine", shown on NBC in 1973, used the song as a theme. The movie starred Cliff DeYoung and Cristina Raines. It told the story of a young mother in love and dying. High ratings prompted a TV series (dubbed just Sunshine) which ran for three months during the summer of 1974. The short-lived series began where the movie left off with the young widowed father (Cliff DeYoung) raising his stepdaughter (Elizabeth Cheshire). The woman is dying of cancer and the father sings the song to her. When the mom dies, the movie ends with Dad carrying the child on his shoulders on a sunny day--"Sunshine On My Shoulders" playing in the background

The song "My Sweet Lady" from the film reached #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Chart in 1974. A sequel, Sunshine Christmas, was produced in 1977. Clifford Tobin DeYoung (born February 12, 1946) is an American actor and musician. DeYoung was born in Los Angeles, California. He attended California State University. Prior to his acting career, he was the lead singer of the 1960s rock group Clear Light, which played with The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin. After the band broke up, he starred in the Broadway production of Hair and the Tony Award-winning Sticks and Bones. After four years in New York, he moved back to California to star in the TV movie Sunshine, about a young mother dying of cancer, and featuring the songs of John Denver. There was also a short-lived television series based on the film.
