002 Transformers Henkei Ghost Starscream - TF Source Video Review 002

Purchase at TFSource.com - www.tfsource.com ----- This is a TF Source video review of TakaraTomy Transformers Henkei Ghost Starscream. Anyone that grew up with the Generation 1 cartoon can instantly conjure up memories of Starscream's violent death and peculiar return as a ghost in the aptly titled Season 3 episode "Starscream's Ghost" and "Ghost in the Machine." The first ever Ghost of Starscream figure was a clear G1 mold reissued by Takara back in 2001. It was sold in an Ehobby two-pack with a Black version of the same mold. The set has since more than doubled in value, with the Ghost version demanding the highest price. Later in 2001, Takara released another version of Starscream's ghost as a rare chase figure in Act 4 of their 3-inch PVC line. This tiny figure is one of the hardest to track down of the Takara PVC chases and can sometimes demand a price of over $150. Fast-forward to 2009 where we now have the latest, and possibly greatest version of this character, the Generations Volume 2 exclusive Henkei Ghost Starscream. Hands down, this is a must-have figure that fits into almost any collection type. Given the prices that previous Ghost versions of this character have reached, there is nowhere but up for the value of this figure, sealed or loose. Fans of Starscream or collectors of clear transformers have been waiting for this figure since its announcement in very early 2009. The wait is finally over and Starscream's Ghost is now available to possess any empty <b>...</b>

Buy Buster Prime at TFsource.com - www.tfsource.com ----- This is a TF Source video review of Takara Tomy Revenge of the Fallen RA-24 Buster Optimus Prime. With each re-creation of the movie toys, the molds have been increasing in complexity, desirability, and overall on-screen accuracy. The re-molded leader Optimus Prime toy was an incredible improvement and gives real promise to the ability of Transformers to continually evolve and create wonder and excitement within its followers. However, one glaring detail was missing from the newest Optimus Prime: his cannons that were featured during some Revenge of the Fallen's most notable action sequences. Leave it to TakaraTomy to create their exclusive version of this figure with a unique transforming gas tank that represents this gun and at the same time vastly imrpoves the paint-scheme. Enter TakaraTomy Revenge of the Fallen RA-24 Buster Prime. Buster Prime is awesome. Not only is this one of the premiere figures from Revenge of the Fallen, but it is the closest we will probably get to a movie accurate premium version. It's difficult to say what Hasbro is planning to do with the gas tank accessory or if they will release it at all, so if you are looking for any sort of improvement over the original Leader Class mold, Buster Prime is the way to go. Buster Prime also seems to be the only version of this mold that will include the non-face plate version of the head, so if you have come to terms with Optimus's mouth, this is <b>...</b>

004 Transformers Masterpiece MP-1B Black Convoy - TF Source Video Review 004

Purchase MP-1B at TFSource.com - www.tfsource.com ----- This is a TF Source video review of TakaraTomy Ehobby Masterpiece MP-1B Black Convoy. The black repaint is a Japanese tradition that has spanned many toylines including transformers. it is a custom normally reserved for the most important or recognizable of characters in robot stories. In Transformers, this tradition began with a black version of Takara's year 2000 reissue of G1 Convoy released as a Jafcon exclusive. It has since been simply dubbed Jafcon Prime. Since this first black repaint, almost each mold of Optimus Prime has gotten the black repaint treatment and variety of identities have sprung from these repaints including characters like Scourge, Nemesis Prime, and Black Convoy. The black repaints have become so commonplace that when a new mold depicting Optimus Prime appears, a black repaint is sure to follow within a year. That was not the case with 2003's Masterpiece Convoy. Many customizers took the creation of a 12" black version of Optimus prime into their own hands, as it seemed the toy would never see the light of day. But for those that have persevered after almost 6 years, an official Black Masterpiece Convoy has become a reality via TakaraTomy's E-hobby online store. Black Convoy, Nemesis Prime, Scourge, whomever you choose to see this figure as, you have to agree that it is impressive. Black repaints of any Transformer toy have always commanded high after-market prices and this one promises to <b>...</b>

Buy this set at TFsource.com - www.tfsource.com ----- There are not many Transformer debates that run much deeper than the age old truism: Frenzy is blue Rumble is Red also denoted to FIBRIR. Many an internet flamewar has erupted defending the colors of these small Decepticon punks. The dispute has risen from a discrepancy between the original G1 cartoon and the toy depictions of each character. Over time and many subsequent toy releases, evidence has sided with the proper coloration of Frenzy being blue and Rumble being red to the dismay of cartoon supporters. Regardless of your disposition on the matter, third party toy manufacturer Perfect Effect has released a two-pack of their Warrior Type figure in very Frenzy and rumblish colors. Let's set aside our differences and prepare to "kick tailgate!" It's hard to be a solid Soundwave collector without branching out into his cassetticon minions and these two 3rd party runts should be able to find a home along side any other army of mini-tapes. Even now Hasbro and Takara are planning a Generations giftset of both Frenzy and Rumble so these may become a mainstay for fans of the characters. So just who is who? If you still really care about the answer to this question, perhaps you'd be best off getting ahold of the original shadow version of this mold or wait for PE-02 with the additional back pack. TFsource tends to focus on a lot of Transformers-relate figures that you cannot find in US stores and as such, many of the recently available 3rd Party toys have been made available on TFsource.com. Fansproject is quickly becoming one of the most well-respected 3rd party Transformers-related toy manufacturers out there after their incredibly successful City Commander armor kits and their Superion upgrade kits. For the first time, Fansproject has created their very own stand-alone figure which does not require a mainstream toy for assembly. Named the Warbot Defender, this figure is an homage to Generation 1 Springer first seen in the Transformers Animated Movie. It features die-cast metal parts as well as three completely separate modes! So has Fansproject struck gold for the 3rd time? Follow me as we watch this toy spring into action. Warbot Defender is incredibly well-designed. As Fansproject's name implies, each of its creations are aimed directly at the wants and desired of long-time Transformers fans. The ability for this figure to creatively stow and utilize his weapons in all modes should definitely be tugging at the heartstrings of the original G1 collector. Although Warbot Defender has a bit of difficulty staying standing, most will find either of the alt modes to be the most successful display option for this piece. Mini-bots have always felt like they held a second-class citizen status amongst their fellow Autobots. Small fries like Windcharger, Huffer, and Beachcomber has slowly been inching their way up the ladder of Autobot rank with recent larger-sized figures in various toylines. The greatest cinderella story of all original minibus belongs to Bumblebee with his glamorous rejuvenation in the Transformers live action movies. And we all know that where Bumblebee travels, his hot-headed buddy Clliffjumper is sure to follow. This duo has a sordid history of being repaints of each other starting with some well-known errors in the original G1 toyline. As the third mold to be released in TakaraTomy's Alternity line, Bumble and Cliff appear as the Suzuki Swift Sport and for the first time feature specifically unique head molds. Now that these mini-bots have entered the realm of Alternity, the Autbots have a significant advantage over their Decepticon adversaries, but that is all about to change... A few months from now, the Alternity Decepticons will be adding some much needed muscle in the form of Starscream, Skywarp, and the inevitable 3rd reduce of Thundercracker. 021 Transformers TakaraTomy 2010 Predaking - TF Source Video Review 021

Buy 2010 Predaking at TFsource.com - www.tfsource.com ----- This is a TFsource Video Review for TakaraTomy 2010 Predaking reissue There was a time when certain Transformers were worth their weight in gold and they could be freely traded like their own currency. Overtime one of the most consistent examples of this type of plastic currency has been the G1 Predacons, and their combined gestalt form Predaking. These figures have gained special distinction for each individual bot being the same relative size as the core figure of the gestalt. Released individually in the USA as well as Japan, a giftset exclusive to the far east might as well have been filled with diamonds for the prices it has fetched in the late 90's and on. A special 20th Anniversary Takara reissue of the set sprang up in 2004 and in a rare turn of events, the reissue quickly became as valuable than and in rare cases exceeded the original giftsets value. This reissue featured only slight modifications from the original. Under the 2010 Banner, a new and greatly improved edition of the Predaking giftset has been granted by TakaraTomy and it looks to be the new defacto king of Predakings. Predaking has never looked so preda-awesome. Strong sales in the final quarter of 2010 have solidified Predaking's monetary value as a rock from which many other toys values can be determined. If history can serve as a basis, this set will be one you don't want to get caught looking for on the aftermarket. Just recently a <b>...</b>

Cybertron has been a notable locale in almost all Transformers fiction and more importantly has recently appeared as important character in the mythos. Character, you say? Well if you are like some fair-weather Transformers fans, you may have missed the original Marvel comic series, Dreamwave's War Within comics, or the end of the Unicron Trilogy known as Cybertron or Galaxy Force. Over time, the Transformers mythos has evolved to include Unicron as a dark god representing evil and the yin to this yang as the light god Primus who resides within or even sometimes IS Cybertron itself. Simply put, Primus is the God of Transformers and has been re-released in an exclusive color scheme for TakaraTomy's 2010 line. Meant to act as Universal Dominator Unicron's foil, 2010 Creator Primus is an all-new upgrade to the original supreme class figure that you might have missed years ago. Throw your scale expectations out the window and douse yourself with holy energon as we take a 2010 crash course in Transformers religious studies. So is it time to make an offering to the God of all Transformers? Ever since his introduction into the Transformers Universe, Skyfire has had somewhat of a sordid past. Friends with Starscream, incredibly powerful, and able to fly these are all traits most Autobots just do not have. Even the new Revenge of the Fallen iteration of Jetfire has him originally siding with The Decepticons, an archetype that this guy will apparently never be able to shrug off. The idea of a Decepticon version of the Jetfire toy first came from TF sticker restoration site reprolabels.com. Their Evil Jetfire custom sticker kit gave you everything you needed to kitbash your own G1 evil Jetfire toy. Our first official Decepticon version of the white knight turned dark has been released as a Gentei exclusive from TakaraTomy's Toy Hobby online store. This stunning black repaint features purple accessories and an eerie green plastic in place of the original cockpit and helmet visor. Watch day turn to night as we take a look at our first official Dark Sky Fire toy. The black repaint strikes again! However, this time it at least serves a greater purpose. As the Jetfire / Skyfire character evolves with the franchise, so too must its representations. 003 Transformers Fansproject Superion Add-on Kit "Snowman Version" - TF Source Video Review

Purchase at TFsource.com - www.tfsource.com ----- This is a TF Source video review of Fansproject Superion "Snowman version" Add-on kit. For the past few years, TFsource.com has been stepping out from the crowd by offering exclusive redecos of 3rd party Transformer figures as part of their unique Stocking Stuffer campaign. This campaign is intended to be a thank you from the site to it's loyal customers and are typically very niche versions of classic characters. Past stocking stuffers have consisted of recdecos of JustitToys' Worlds Smallest Dinobots. TFsource has even gone the extra mile and offered incredibly limited chromed chase versions of some of these stocking stuffers. They are randomly packed in with the regular assortment and share a likeness to coveted Lucky Draw toys. In 2009, TFsource breaks from their 3 year tradition of offering World's smallest Dinobot stocking stuffers and moves on to the intriguing Superion Add-on kit by Fansproject. This alternate version comes cast in a bone-white plastic and is labeled as the "snow man version" of this Gestalt upgrade. The return of 5-robot gestalts during the Energon toyline was a welcome throwback, however their execution was met with mottled response. This add-on kit improves the Aerialbot combiner set so much, that the toy almost looks naked without it. Fansproject has once again improved upon Hasbro and Takara's already magnificent creations. Purchase at TFsource.com - www.tfsource.com ----- This is a TF Source video review of Takara Tomy Masterpiece MP-8X King Grimlock When Masterpiece Grimlock reached the hands of collectors in mid 2009, choirs of praise rang forth from all who were lucky enough to possess him. However, one accessory that was initially promised was not present: Grimlock's crown. The Grimlock crown was featured in the Generation 1 Transformers comic series when Grimlock took over leadership of the Autobots and to many Grimlock fans is a quintessential moment for the character. TakaraTomy has finally legitimized this facet of Grimlock's history by releasing a brand new deco of MP-08 with a new designation of MP-08X. This, along with Black Ehobby Convoy and the upcoming Ghost Masterpiece Starscream, represent a new trend in creating Masterpiece line exclusives as variations of initial releases. Dubbed "King Grimlock", MP-08X is a perplexing repaint that many collectors have considered an un-necessary addition to the line, especially with an asking price of over $200! After this review, you may be thinking twice about questioning he who wears the crown The Transformers fan community has a lot of trouble agreeing on anything, but if you looked at various top-tens of the year, Masterpiece Grimlock topped almost all of the lists and with good reason. Buy 2010 Unicron at TFsource.com - www.tfsource.com ----- This is a TF Source video review for TakaraTomy 2010 Universal Dominator Unicron. For middle aged Transformers fans, the biggest thing to ever happen in Transformers was the 1986 Animated film which ushered in a brand new cast of main characters, broadened the scope of the story to multiple worlds with alien races, and introduced us to the biggest bad guy of all time, The Chaos Bringer himself: Unicron. It took nearly 17 years but this demigod of destruction finally came to life in plastic form in 2003's Armada Series. As incredible as this giant toy was, there were still some grievances from fans that had been waiting for a proper planetformer since their single-digit childhood. Hasbro offered up a Universe reissue of Armada Unicron in 2008 and many hoped for a more G1-aligned paint scheme but the reissue was a straight repack of the Armada version. Once again, TakaraTomy comes to the rescue with an incredible version of this monumental toy mold featuring movie-accurate paint applications and a remolded head. Buy Alternity Starscream and Skywarp at TFsource.com - www.tfsource.com www.tfsource.com This is a TF Source video review of TakaraTomy Alternity Starscream and Skywarp. The Decepticon army is vast and over the years has consisted of many types of warriors, the most notable of which have been a generic type of foot soldier commonly referred to as The Seekers. The name dates back to one very obscure reference in a JC Penny catalog from 1984 and gained traction in the fandom until Dreamwave officially revived the term in their War Within comic book. The original seekers consist of Thundercracker, Skywarp, and their Air Commander, Starscream. This original trio have been re-imagined in almost every new version of the franchise and this continues in TakaraTomy's Alternity line. The Alternity seekers mark a new chapter in the seeker legacy - for the first time they are land-based cars! After their complete omission during the Alternators and Binaltech line, the seekers' introduction into Alternity breaks one of the most consistent norms for Transformers since face plates and flames. Was the trading-in of wings for tires worth it for these birds of prey? Find out in this review of Alternity Skywarp and Starscream. The Alternity seekers are definitely a front-runner for the most out-of-place Transformer of the year award, but is that really a bad thing? When IDW was revealed to be the benefactor of the Transformers franchise from the defunct Dreamwave Productions, it opened the door for an all new take on the Transformers universe. Not only did IDw start with a fresh reboot of the Generation 1 universe, it created a few of its own, including the 4-issue Hearts of Steel mini-series. This story line placed our robotic heroes and villains on pre-historic Earth and left them slumbering in caves until the start of the Industrial Revolution in America. Featuring historical characters such as John Henry, Mark Twain and Jules Verne, this story was about as campy as Transformers can get. The radical retro designs of familiar characters ended up stealing the show and lead to some incredible fan-made creations, including a full-on release of a Hearts of Steel fashioned Optimus Prime. Named the Knight Morpher Commander, this beautiful 3rd party transforming creation is now available as a fully assembled figure ready to jump out of the past and into the collections of today. If you were to ask the average person "What is the most important moment in Transformers history", the answer would be unanimous: When Megan Fox opened up Bumblebee's Hood! The tried and true Transfan would be quick to correct that statement with the 25 year-old truth: The death of Optimus Prime from Transformers: The Movie. This scene is one of if not the most notable event that has ever occurred in Transformers' 25+ year history, and the resounding impact it has had on the franchise is not likely to ever be duplicated. To commemorate this changing of the Autobot guard, TakaraTomy has introduced another high-priced and widely miss-understood redeco of a previous Masterpiece mold into their 2010 line. This time, the trailered edition of Masterpiece Convoy is presented in a drab grayscale paint scheme to homage the colorless corpse of the fallen Cybertron Commander. Officially named Convoy Sleep Mode, some rather colorful names have been coined for the reduce including Sleepy Prime and my personal favorite Corpse Convoy. Let's take a trip down memory lane and celebrate the death of a hero and the rebirth of an icon. So has TakaraTomy finally gone too far? We've all ready reviewed the Gentai Ghost Starscream exclusive, an even larger and more expensive ghost version of the Masterpiece mold has finally been confirmed via photos in Figure King Magazine, and the debatably best leader class mold from Revenge Of the Fallen will be the as of yet unreleased Starscream. The most iconic image of Starscream after his ghostly visage is his brief stint as the newly appointed Decepticon Leader in the Transformers Animated movie. This version has been coined Coronation Starscream and has only seen a handful of official figures, all of them non-transformable busts or figurines. Back in 2008 3rd Party Toy maker TFclub released an add-on set for the Masterpiece Starscream mold, and even a Skywarp variant. The set was very popular amongst Starscream fans and it lead us to the upcoming 2010 release of the coronation add-on kit for deluxe Starscream by Megavolt Robot Factory. If you are a Starscream nut, you have to get this add-on kit. The permanentness of this set is also appealing since it does in fact change the figure. These are in ANY figure marked with the Hunt for the Decepticons logo. 1 - Buy a Hunt for the Decepticons figure - specially marked packaging 2 - Locate the Hunt for the Decpeticons info sheet 3 - Visit Transformers.com and click on the Hunt For the Decepticons link (or just click this link: transformers.promotions.com ) 4 - Register a username 5 - Login as a registered user 6 - Enter the Hunt for the Decepticons location code that you found on your package slip 7 - Play the game! Each code only gives you access to one game at a time, which is pretty lame. The games are definitely for children as they are pretty simplistic. A cool idea all around though! Nice interactivity.

Transformers 3 - Chicago destruction drive-by

www.collecticon.org On the afternoon of July 11, we drove by the set of Transformers 3 twice to get these brief but revealing shots of the destruction created by the Decepticons on LaSalle Street in downtown Chicago, IL. As you can see, this was in the midst of shooting a scene! Michael Bay was seen on the set as well, but not in these shots.

015 TakaraTomy Masterpiece MP-3G Starscream Ghost Version - TF Source Video Review 015

Buy MP-3G now at TFsource.com - www.tfsource.com ----- This is a TF Source video review of TakaraTomy MP-3G Masterpiece Ghost Starscream. In the off chance that you felt there was a gaping hole in the world of Masterpiece Seekers, TakaraTomy has taken it upon themselves to create yet another release out of the Masterpiece Seeker mold. Not Sunstorm, not a cone-head, not even a purple seeker clone. The latest in a long string of vanity Masterpiece redecos comes in the form of MP-3GMasterpiece Starscream Ghost Version - a large translucent representation of the ghastly undead Destron Air Commander. After being rumored, then cancelled, then finally confirmed, MP-3G has indeed joined the ranks of the walking dead and will leave you looking like you've seen a ghost. When the sirens first went off about a Ghost version of Masterpice Starcream, it was bittersweet. Ghost Starscreams are historically special releases and a masterpiece version seemed like it would saturate the market. Now that the figure is actually here, Starscream fans should rejoice. The release pays the concept justice and the only really strange feature remains the orange display stand. This is definitely a specialty release, and not for everyone. If you haven't yet gotten a hold of the Masterpiece Seeker mold, this would be a pretty wild way to get your feet wet but the figure is just as brilliant as all the rest. Collectors of Starscream, Seekers, and clear variants will be holding nightly seances in order to <b>...</b>

Transformers - Hunt for the Decepticons - Ending and Print out

www.collecticon.org After defeating Megatron, players are treated to a short little anecdote about how you are helping the Autobots defeat the Decepticons on Earth. How cute. Then you are able to print out a certificate showing your current player stats and who you have defeated in the game. This is probably super awesome for a young Transformers fan! I am curious as to how many user completed the game!
