I made a small mistake: the putty tool used to convert keys is called puttygen and is not included with dingleberry. You can download it along with putty itself at www.chiark.greenend.org.uk Use this to convert the file named "rsa" in your dingleberry folder to a .ppk file which putty and winscp and similar tools can use. You can then log in to your root with these tools using "root" as the username and the .ppk file that you made as authentication.
