This is a story of a discada some friends and I wanted to have. A discada is a get together where you sit around a wok-like pan cooking the meal, talking, playing dominoes or whatever. The pan is traditionally Mexican and made from a farming tool called a harrow disk. Being that it gets dragged around behind a tractor, these are much heavier than woks and holds heat like a cast iron pan. We found an old harrow disk for sale, and the discada story begins...
