Discus (Indonesian Prog Band) Tribute Video
[About the band] (Outdated) Discus is an excellent progressive rock band from Indonesia that as of January 2009 has released two albums, "1st" (1999) and "...Tot Licht!" (2004). Their genre is mentioned in the Facebook Discus' fan page as being "Progressive rock with jazz, contemporary classical, world (esp Indonesian ethnic) and some metal influences". Their fusion of very different genres (many times between the same track!) may take some listeners by surprise, but hopefully many will like them. Discus is planning to do a third album soon (I hope it comes out in 2009!), and about it guitarist Iwan Hasan said "Stylistically it will fall somewhere in between 1st and tot licht. It will contain the elements of both. To me, tot licht! is a very heavy and intense album. Like Yes' Relayer. From Relayer, Yes went to Going For The One and toned down. I think it will be a bit like that on Discus' 3rd. I miss the jazzy and "feminine" part of 1st. It will be more progressive than the 1st, but will be quite jazzier overall than tot licht and less intense." Coach Shelton Harrison, shows a few basic and advanced shotput and discus drills. Coach Harrison has 15 years of coaching experience. His most notable athlete was Kamorean Hayes. Hayes dominated the shotput for four years, without a loss in highschool. Harrison also coached Aslynn Halvorson, who has the NC all-time Discus record of 169-5. Halvorson is also featured in this video.

Estonia's Gerd Kanter grabbed gold in the world championships discus competition on Tuesday to hand Lithuania's double defending champion Virgilijus Alekna his first taste of defeat in two years on Tuesday. A Baltic battle had been expected between the only two finalists to go over 70 meters this year, but Alekna was slowed by an injury. This tank is built due to breeder prefer very deep water depth ...... as they believe that the depth of water is important for the growth of high bodies. The high water depth theory is actually being practised by a lot of Hong Kong breeders and it is a small wonder that we see HK's discus having extremely high body. With bigger volume of water chances of water getting foul is much lower. The amnonia level will definitely increase to a higher concentration rapidly with a smaller volume of water. Massive cleaning is reduced and cleaning is also make simple. The submersible biological filter in used can be easily washed and taken out through the opening outlet at the bottom of the tank.
