I have invented a continuous ethanol device for fuel. It makes 190 proof, or 95 percent ethyl alcohol at a rate of a gallon to 2 gallons per hour, or 25 to 50 gallons a day. You an use lots of sources for feedstock including any grain, apples, cherries, sugar cane, sorghum, or anything with sugar. This still uses about 25 cents a gallon worth of electricity to distill the alcohol My goal would be to provide a way in poorer countries to have cheap gasoline, or Americans to get away from imported oil.

We began with the attempt to distill our own water and then use it for supercooling...but it didn't work out so you can see just the distillation and then supercooling using good ol' bottled water... Basically the chemical principle behind supercooled water, if you take pure water and allow it to freeze undisturbed it will not have the energy or particles necessary to begin freezing and remains a liquid even below its freezing point. However, if you give it a nice slap, it will have the energy to begin nucleation and freeze rapidly as demonstrated towards the end of the video... Distillation is a unit operation, or a physical separation process, and not a chemical reaction. Commercially, distillation has a number of applications. It is used to separate crude oil into more fractions for specific uses such as transport, power generation and heating. Water is distilled to remove impurities, such as salt from seawater. Air is distilled to separate its components—notably oxygen, nitrogen, and argon—for industrial use.
