How to beatmatch REALLY quickly (on vinyl and on CD). Useful when you don't know if your next tune will be faster or slower than the one playing. This is meant as an 'initial' beatmatch - you'll still need to listen to, and refine the beats during the mix. I've left the crossfader in the middle, so you can hear both tunes playing. In the second and third installments of this video series focusing on our Digital DJing program, Dubspot Instructor, course designer, and 2x DMC Champ DJ Shiftee breaks down the techniques and talks about how he utilized Native Instruments' Traktor Kontrol S4 to achieve the live performance routine in the first video. In the second video, Shiftee explains how he uses the S4's Loop Recorder to record layers of sounds (in this example, multiple takes of his own voice) and build unique loop combinations and compose live remixes on the fly. He uses the Dry/Wet feature to jack and forth, from his live remix to the original track. Shiftee also uses the undo/redo feature, which allows you to remove and add your latest loop layer. The bottom line, according to Shiftee is to have fun. Use the sample players in conjunction with the loop recorder to create your own drum patterns for your remixes or record your voice singing/rapping/talking over your new beats with transpose effect pitched up or down.

In this brand new tutorial, Native Instruments product specialist, producer, DJ and Dubspot Instructor, Matt Cellitti returns to answer a frequently asked question: How to incorporate Maschine audio loops and samples into a Traktor DJ set. Cellitti explains and demonstrates how you can create Maschine drum patterns and loops and add them to your Traktor Pro 2 set by syncing the tempos and dragging and dropping Maschine patterns into Traktor's sample decks. This technique is the easiest way add customized audio loops, samples, sounds and additional ingredients to create live remixes on the fly. Eddie entered the scene producing NYC techno. Eddie continued to release slammin' diverse productions under various monikers for record labels such as Arista, Ministry of Sound, Avex (Sony Japan), Maxi, Nervous, *69, JVM, Harlem, Kult, King Street, Carl Cox's inprint as well as on his own imprint Tobacco Records.
