The little Zytel-handled EDC knives offer incredible value for their sub $20 price: AUS-8 steel, sharp hollow ground blades, fast deployment, tight lockup, reversible pocket clip and thumbstud, and a super lightweight 2.4 oz. Several blades designs are offered including the shown Folding Hunter (clip style), Folding Skinner, and the Spear Point Hunter. Newer variations have serrations. KA-BAR Large Dozier Folding Hunter review: Is Bigger Always Better?
This is the larger version of the Dozier designed folders by KA-BAR. This is a lockback design with a 3 2/3" (90mm) AUS8 A drop point blade. This knife seems like a strong design and the blade shape is very functional. Deployment on this example is smooth but not fast, lockup is solid with just a hint of up/down movement. The pivot is not adjustable, at least as far as I can tell. Weight and width is kept down by dispensing with steel liners. I see this as a solid working knife that will get the job done, but not one that would star in any collection. Whilst the price for this is reasonable I think there are better options for around the same money. A look at the KA-BAR model 4062 Dozier Folding Hunter. Three examples of this knife appear in this review, all with the 3 inch drop point blade in AUS 8A stainless steel. We have the Black, Coyote Brown, and Foliage Green handle colours to compare. I also break out the tools and show how the clip and single side thumb stud are mounted and how to move them to suit your needs (you will need Torx tools). These are good, practical EDC blades. KaBar Dozier Large Folding Hunter
The KaBar Dozier is a great knife, especially for the price, at $20-35!!! Great all around knife, designed by custom knife maker Bob Dozier, its light weight and made by a great company with a long history: KaBar. Blade has a great drop point, very suitable for many locations that have restrictions on tip design. The handle features great checkering molded into the Zytel Handle, for terrific slip resistance and traction. Makes a great all around EDC or utility blade, and for the price, you dont really have to worry about using it to hard or rough, if you loose it or something happens, you can buy another one! The Lock release for the lockback is far enough from the pivot point to make it easy to release, while still comfortable, but it may take a little bit to get used to. Solid lock up, with zero blade play in any direction, and no lock fails in my tests. Overall a great knife for anyone, especially those on a budget! Ka-Bar Dozier clip knife review
My review of the KA-BAR Dozier clip point folding knife. An excellent value mid sized candidate for EDC or utility tasks, this sturdy KA-BAR uses AUS-8A steel and zytel handles. Hair shaving sharp out of the box, and a really solid lock-up make this a really good addition to anyone's collection and is suited very well for utility work, and will take a lot of abuse while maintaining a decent edge. AUS-8A steel is also fairly easy to sharpen. I got mine for £23.95 at www.heinnie.com And for the high value of this knife, I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone who gets moderate use from their utility knife and who want high performance for low cost. It may not be pretty, but it gets the job done

Sometimes a small EDC knife is the best option for the environment you're in. Maybe you're at work, perhaps in an office, or some other public place. You still want something to do your routine tasks, or maybe even to assist in an emergency, but a bigger blade may be perceived as a weapon by those around you. If this situation sounds familiar to you, then this little folder might just fit the bill. It is the smallest of the Bob Dozier designs manufactured by KA-BAR. It's a solid performer, and is outstanding value. It will never be the star of any collection, but it is not intended to be. It has an AUS 8A stainless steel blade hardened to 56-58 HRC and a checkered Zytel handle for comfort and a sure grip. Includes pocket clip. Blade length: 3". Overall length: 7-1/4". Closed length: 4-1/4". Weight: 2.25 oz. I paid only $30 for my folders if you look online you maybe able to find them for about $22. Great little EDC folding knife for the money.

Phil Collins and Lamont Dozier win the Golden Globe for Original Song in a Motion Picture for Let the River Run and Two Heart. Phil Collins jokingly said that he didnt think he was going to get the award because he started drinking. Collins talked about how he is very proud and pleased that the film Buster is represented in the award and how it is ashamed that not a lot of people watched the movie. Dozier is best known as a member of Holland--Dozier--Holland, the songwriting and production team that was responsible for much of the Motown sound and numerous hit records by artists such as Martha & the Vandellas, The Supremes, The Four Tops, and The Isley Brothers. Along with Brian Holland, Dozier served as the team's musical arranger and producer. After HDH left Motown in 1967 to form the Invictus/Hot Wax labels, Dozier began recording as an artist on their labels. Dozier departed from HDH in the mid-1970s, and was replaced by new arranger/producer Harold Beatty. Dozier had another #1 hit as a songwriter in the 1980s, combining with Phil Collins to write the song "Two Hearts" from the movie soundtrack for Buster. "Two Hearts" was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song. Collins and Dozier also co-wrote "Loco in Acapulco" for The Four Tops, which is also featured on the Buster soundtrack. Also, in 1984, Essex-born singer Alison Moyet scored a US top 40 hit with the Dozier-penned "Invisible". In 1987, Dozier co-penned "Infidelity" with Simply Red frontman Mick Hucknall for the band's second album Men and Women. The song reached number 13 on the UK charts.....
