Dixie Dregs in 1981 Steve Morse T. Lavitz, Rod Morgenstein and Mark O'Connor

The solos: Lavitz and O'Connor trade eights, then Morgenstein takes a drum solo leading up to a solo by Morse. After that, Morse, O'Connor, Lavitz and Andy West do some trade offs. Great live performance!

Jaco plays the last three songs. Regarding that "Jaco played on the last 3 songs", I suspect that is false? Looking at the order of the tape & I don't think The Dregs are going to close a show with a "Jaco Solo (America)" but rather "Cruise Control." Can anybody who was there confirm? Dixie Dregs - Vitamin Q

The entire song with MIDI background tracks. This version comes from the Dregs last album "Industry Standard". Originally the song begins with kind of baroque classical "lick". In my MIDI version I have omitted this intro and jumped right into the song beat, which in a way gives sense of a blues taste. Thank You for watching.

Dixie Dregs rare live 1 of 3. "I'll Just Pick" c.1981, tape was labeled 1976. T Lavitz piano keys

Dixie Dregs 1976 rare live 1 of 3. Actually 1981 or 1982, per the comments. VHS tape was labeled 1976 when I got it in the 1990's. COMMENT: This is either 1981 or 1982, as Mark O'Connor is on violin instead of Allen Sloan. Also, T Lavitz is on keyboards and he didn't join until 1979. The song is I'll Just Pick from 1981's Unsung Heroes album, released in 1981. Just sayin'...:-) Thanks for the upload! Great footage of one of the best bands ever! TO Witcher - Dixie Dregs

The Dixie Dregs are a jazz fusion band formed in the 1970s. Their mostly instrumental music fuses jazz, southern rock, bluegrass and classical forms in an often unique, virtuosic style. Right now Dixie Dregs is: Steve Morse - guitar (1970 - Present) T Lavitz - keyboards (1978 - Present) Rod Morgenstein - drums (1973 - Present) Jerry Goodman - violin (1992 - Present) Dave LaRue - bass guitar (1988 - Present) THIS SONG BELONGS TO IT'S RIGHTFUL OWNERS. I DO NOT OWN THIS SONG.
