CONSEQUENCE Drink Driving

In a first of its kind crime prevention resource, Ku-ring-gai Council Youth Services has teamed up with Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai PCYC and young people in the area to produce an innovative DVD that will available for use in schools around the country. The DVD features three short films focusing on drink driving, alcohol-fuelled violence and malicious damage - crimes commonly committed by young offenders. The resource was produced thanks to a grant from NRMA Insurance Community Grant. All filming was done within the Ku-ring-gai area and the stories reflect scenarios that can or have occurred amongst young people. We worked with a number of partners during the development of the resource including Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai PCYC, Nuclear Family Film Production and of course, local young people.
