New Nintendo DSi

bwone.com twitter.com For Full Review With Pics and links to purchasehead over to bwone.com The Nintendo DSi XL is a large "bigger younger brother" to the rest of the DS lineup and takes most of its specs from the DSi which was released last year. The main new feature is the 93% bigger screen it has compared to the screen you normally get with the Nintendo DS. The screens measure out to 4.2in diagonally and will provide you with more space for viewing content on the device and also playing games that require a lot of stylus actions and/or RPG or strategy games which require many items to be shown on the screen at once. The device comes with the same resolution cameras that the DSi has and there is no GBA slot at all which is kind of weird considering the size of the device but that's why the DS Lite is still around. It has a nice finish on the top with a matted finish around the rest of the device. The device is definitely heavier than previous DS models and isn't going to just drop right in your pocket as this is not meant for that. The hardware is up to par with Nintendo standers. Nintendo's latest version of the DS gaming console features screens nearly twice as large as the DSi. Though its a bit heavier and bulkier, the DSi XL's larger pixels and screens provide a more clear gaming experience than its predecessor.

Taking a Look at the Nintendo DSi XL
Nintendo sure does like milking their handheld lines, and suckers like me eat them up. What can I say? I absolutely love the DS! And to be fair, not all of these options are not for everyone. They're just that. Options. The XL features screens 93% bigger than the DS Lite. It's considerably bigger, but weighs roughly the same as the DSi and feels pretty good in the hand. The layout of all the buttons, screens, cameras, etc are exactly the same as the DSi. The hinge clicks halfway open, which conveniently props the upper screen up. The volume rocker now has better separation between the two buttons, and protrudes further from the system, which means changing the volume is much easier. The XL comes with Flipnote Studio, web browser, Brain Age Express: Math, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters and Photo Clock all preinstalled. Flipnote is a free DSiWare game, regardless of which model it is downloaded on, but the free Brain Ages are a nice touch. I can't imagine the Photo Clock will see much use. I would have liked to see some more substantial preinstalled games, but freebies are always nice. The DSi XL retails for $190 USD, and comes in either Bronze (a dark brown) and Burgundy (the wine red featured in this video). It comes with a standard stylus, as well as a bigger fountain pen sized stylus. The charger is the same charger that comes with the original DSi model. Again, this is not something for everyone. In fact, it's probably downright frivolous. But I can't lie: I like <b>...</b>

bwone.com Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: facebook.com The Nintendo 3DS is the newcomer to the DS family which has now become a very large family and it can be hard to choose which one is right for you but I'll give you a quick break down on what each one can do for you. Before we begin lets list the basics of which all DS models have. You get a dual screen setup with the bottom screen being a touch screen, a built in microphone and each system comes with a stylus. Now each model does has a unique difference which we will get into as we compare each model. We'll start off with the DS Lite which I feel is the DS model that really launched the platform. It was an upgrade and a step up from the original DS which was much more bulky and didn't have the sleek design that the new DS Lite came with and a much brighter screen which was needed. One unique feature of the DS Lite is that it was the last of the DS to come with a GBA slot which was key for those that were upgrading from their Game Boy Advance or Game Boy Advance SP. This was the model that made the DS the game changer that it promised to be. After the success of the DS Lite Nintendo decide to step up the game a little bit more but lose a little something with the introduction of the DSi. I had a DSi but I traded it in a year later for a DSi XL which both had pretty much the same hardware features with the larger screens as the biggest difference so we will use the DSi XL as the example for the DSi lineup. Nintendo DSi Web Browser Walkthrough
The DSi now allows you to surf the internet directly from your system. Now you don't have to buy the DS Browser software. You can just download it from the DSi Shop. It's the not that fast but it isn't unbearable. Check out everything it has to offer in my video. Also, I forgot to mention this but the DSi is not flash compatible so you can't watch Youtube videos or anything like that. You can post comments for the videos on youtube though.

Here's a little trick I found out the other day while messing around with my DSi. If you want to try it at home, draw a 3x8 grid and fill in the letters just like I did in the video. Or better yet, just use Nejuer's picture from my video response section. Goggle sheet music of your favorite song and tap away. Sorry for the odd edit in the middle there.
